Stayed here 2nd September to 5th September 2016. The hotel is located on Broad Walk, a pedestrian walkway, facing the Pavilion Garden and just a very short walk away from the centre of Buxton. There are numerous restaurants within a short walking distance. The hotel itself has eight rooms all en suite. There is adequate parking accessed from Hartington Road... More

My wife and recently spent three night at this guest house. The location is excellent in that it is at the town end of Broad Walk, a hundred metres or so from the Opera House. The Pavilion Gardens are just across Broad Walk, twenty yards or so.It is within easy walking distance of the shops, the Crescent (being restored) and restaurants.... Grosvenor House is in a great location overlooking the park and it's so close to the town, with bars and shops literally 5 mins walk away. The rooms are clean and well appointed, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Alison and Kev are friendly and welcoming - the perfect hosts. We had a wonderful relaxing break... More

The owners were friendly and helpful. The room was full of things that you needed that you would hardly or get less from a city hotel. They even have milk in the fridge ready for us. Its picturesquely quaint. Its surrounded with hotels and up the hill is like their city center ... all walking distance. Beakfast was nice. Served... More

We arrived at Grosvenor House and couldn't believe the location - couldn't be closer to all the shops, bars & restaurants, opposite the gardens and Opera House! Lovely hosts , great breakfasts that lasted us all day and came back to a clean & tidy room after hours of sightseeing & shopping. We got chatting to the other guests at... More

Lovely stay at Grosvenor House this weekend. The owners and their daughter were great hosts and couldn't do enough for us. Very comfortable room with great facilities and the full English breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be booking again

We were lucky to get a cancellation during Festival time in this lovely B&B, where we stayed for two nights. We had Room 6, on the top floor overlooking the Pavilion Gardens and couldn't have asked for more (except functioning wifi, which was fine in the public areas). The room and bed were comfortable, the owners friendly and helpful, and... More

From start to finish, this was a lovely place to stay, from the welcome on arrival through to the excellent breakfast service and well appointed room, where everything that might be needed for a good trip was provided. The location is ideal for a visit to Buxton. If you are visiting the town and can stay here, do so.

This is how a B&B should be run. We are on a road trip around England from Australia and wanted a nice stop over spot prior to travelling further North. Went via Trip Advisor reviews and this place deserves to be number one in my books and was perfect. The entire place is spotlessly clean and comfortable and in a... More
