We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in September. I would say it is more like a b and b than a hotel. That aside we enjoyed our stay here. Good. size room at the side of the hotel. Clean with tea and coffee making facilities but no fridge. We did not make use of the lounge which was large...

We stayed for one night at end August in a standard room on the first floor at the side of the hotel. The good points: location overlooking the park/lake with easy pedestrian access to all Buxton town attractions. Breakfast was OK, although limited continental breakfast choice if you didn't want the full English. But passed the orange juice test -...

I stayed as one of a party of 7 on motorbikes over the recent Bank Holiday weekend. I was in a twin room with a lake view and it was large with an equally spacious bathroom with a bath. Both rooms looked out over the lake in the park, with the Broadwalk running alongside. We had coffee and tea facilities...

the room had lovely views over the pavilion gardens but was not attractive. It had two clashing print wallpapers and a horrible stain on the bathroom floor, about a foot square. That flooring needs to be replaced. I could hear the adjacent room's bathroom as it was right behind my bed. Only a one hour window for breakfast, which was...

Paid extra for a front room with a view of the park and lake and this didn't disappoint. Described on the booking site we used as a hotel but the reality is this is a B&B. We were on the top floor, a bit of a tired room with a large bathroom. Facilities are ok - advertised with a bar...

Stayed here in July 2016. It rained however that didn't dampen our spirits. The lady who runs the hotel is lovely and very helpful, the hotel is on top of the pavilion gardens which was lovely and a very close to town.liked the option of the honesty bar which we made use of and the breakfast was fresh, non greasy...

Stayed in room 5 with a beautiful view over the park. Staff were very welcoming and the hotel was in very good condition with a guest lounge and an honesty bar. Buxton is ideally situated for heading out into the Peaks but is itself a lovely place to wander around. Room 5 was a good size and the shower was...

Stayed here for a single night while working in the theatre. Hotel is located very centrally just off the Pavilion Gardens and is friendly and welcoming. Good facilities, comfortable room and bed. Ample parking Would definitely stay again.

Very conveniently situated and comfortable for my annual visit to Buxton Festival. Walking distance to the Opera House and Pavilion Arts Centre. Breakfast - lots of choice - even brought porridge when requested. Able to park on site and walk everywhere I wanted to go. Will definitely book again for next year.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. A grand looking house, which is more of a b&b than a hotel. The double room was adequate, but dated. It was very clean. The bed was creaky (but comfortable) .. We were in room 9 ..which didn't have the lovely view over Pavilion Gardens! It would be worth paying extra for...
