This old well-to-do residence (1800s) converted to a B & B (12 rooms I think) is right on the lovely Victorian park with large ponds, in the center of town. There is no road in front, just the lamplit broad walk-way edging the park. Our bay window looked out on it. The market street is just above it, the attractions...

Bed is like sleeping on top of a table, springs sticking up on partners side, cold bath tap not working shower dribbles, ligt hanging from ceiling by wires buzzes when switched on, very uncomfortable night, atleast expect a comfy bed when you stay in a hotel/bnb

We were three nights in Room 12 at the Westminster Hotel for a long weekend in Buxton. I booked via Booking.com and wondered later if that's the way to ensure you don't get the best room. Room 12 was on the second floor at the back with a partial view of the car park. It was a small twin with...

Beautiful scenery on land and in the caverns. Buxton town full of Victorian charm. Little red bus well worth the money, informative about buildings and places. Comfortable hotel, central to Buxton town and the caverns and beautiful walks.

This B&B has a fantastic central location overlooking the Pavilion Gardens, with shopping, restaurants, tea rooms and the Opera House all within easy walking distance. 'Hotel' is rather a generous description - this is definitely a typical British B&B. That said, our room was perfectly clean with a good supply of tea and coffee. Breakfast was fantastic and there was...

Stayed here on a business trip. It was a bit tired/dated but did the job for a business trip, would be a good base for exploring the area. In a lovely area. Breakfast was nice and the room was ok. Would stay again if I'm back in the area.

Whole place very dated like an old peoples home. Overpriced as not a hotel, just a B&B and a very tired one at that. Overpowering smell of disinfectant and germalene in stairway which has no ventilation, smell pervaded into room even with door shut, had to block with towels to try to reduce smell. Dodgy soft porn pictures on wall....

This is a Guest House and not a Hotel. The car park is very small and narrow with few spaces and you can get locked in quite easily. The location is ideal. There is a musty smell when you enter the 'hotel' and it is 'dated'. We received a warm welcome from the owner who took our money and told...

Stayed here as part of a hiking trip in the peaks. The rooms were warm and clean. The staff were friendly and the cost was very reasonable. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay - fresh cooked full English with juice and cereal on the side. The honesty bar is also a very nice touch. It's fine for the...
