#10 of 21 Speciality lodging in Buxton
Conveniently located for easy access to the best features of the Peak District, yet nestled peacefully away in the idyllic valley floor, Buxton Caravan Club Site is the perfect location for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life whilst having easy access to modern comforts. The small town of Buxton is close to the caravan park, offering the superbly historic Pavilion Gardens nestled within 23 acres of beautifully rich scenery. The Opera House also is of great interest, which is home to a wide range of events, including its world famous festival that runs from mid-July to August. The site is within walking distance of pretty Buxton town and there are towns to explore in all directions, including the market towns of Leek & Ashbourne. Buxton Caravan Club Site welcomes tent campers and has tent pitches available to both members and non-members. Pitches can be booked online or by phone

Recently returned from a 5 night stay at the end of September. We were incredibly lucky with the weather - I would think this could be quite miserable if the weather isn't kind! Lovely wardens made arrival a simple and painless process - the normal CAMC toilet block rules worked very well. Im glad we pitched on the pitch we did - some could be quite a walk to the toilet block! Would return as long as the weather coule be guaranteed. Don't bother paying for wi-fi - it doesn't work! the site is in an old quarry so mobile reception is patchy and wifi is non existent. The reception offers purchase of it (as do all CAMC sites) but they don't tell you anywhere that it doesn't work - is this the CAMC simply extorting money from members again - probably. Would it put me off returning - no - not at all!

Very friendly and helpful wardens, site and facilities really clean and tidy, lovely size pitch, beautiful location with plenty of walking to be done. Car park just outside the site with grass to walk the dog. Would recommend and return.

Helpful wardens, I needed blocks to level up with as the site is on a slope and no sooner did I mention it than they appeared! Clean, friendly and in a fantastic setting. The wardens have spent a lot of time with their displays and it's worth finding them all!

Stayed here for 3 nights (should of been 4) and upon arrival was pleasantly surprised about how nice the site was in a quarry surrounded by amazing scenery. Staff where friendly. However the 3 band system for the toilets/showers DOES NOT WORK! The idea is that you place a band outside when using the facilities thus only allowing 3 people in the block at any one time, however people forget to remove their bands and you can be stood waiting for 15 minutes for the toilet/shower with only 1 or 2 people inside. It's a ridiculous system and clearly doesnt work. The toilet block is massive and I see no reason why 3 people in both the toilets and showers couldnt be allowed, social distancing could still easily happen. It was quite frustrating especially with 2 children therefore we left a day early (also the weather was terrible...no ones fault obviously!) Also the phone signal was poor and while that isnt the camp sites fault I feel caravan club members should receive some free wifi while paying for a subscription especially this year that we havent really been able to utilise.

Simple we love it here. This was a first time visit after it came on recommendation. In a scenic setting, staff polite and courteous, facilities in exemplary condition and a credit to the staff. Mobile phone signal hit and miss but there is wifi at an extra charge. Pitches spacious with different type pitches from fully serviced to basic. We had a basic and it was plenty for us. Only down side the weather but they can't help that haha
