We had a fabulous COVID safe weekend at Hurdlow Grange. The countryside is brilliant, surrounded by great walks and the local pub is a mile away. The beds were so comfy. Paul from Peak Venues made sure all our questions were answered - top customer service. Highly recommend!

We had booked a larger property for an extended family weekend, but due to Covid-19 restrictions we had to postpone it. However, with Peak Venues' excellent assistance we booked Amberleigh House for 2 families instead (6 adults and 1 child). The location is very peaceful, we didn't hear much noise from any of the groups in the other properties on site. The house is lovely, but as others have said, a little snug. The outside space is good with a patio and BBQ, but again could do with a few more seats. The house is reasonably well equipped, although a couple of the bedrooms don't have their own wardrobe or hanging space (ok for a weekend, but could be more restrictive for longer). The surrounding countryside is very pleasant and gives scope for plenty of walking and cycling (Tissington Trail, High Peak Trail). We drove to Hartington and did a quieter walk through open fields and by a stream. Buxton isn't too far to drive for the market and other places of interest. We cannot fault Peak Venues' admin for the booking process especially during the pandemic measures, and the check-in, check-out process. We would recommend this property and the company and look forward to our big family weekend next year!

The Grange was a perfect retreat for our friendship group reunion. The peak venues team were very helpful prior to the trip, helping us arrange items for the group's babies/toddlers. The house was perfect for what we needed, nice comfy lounge and big kitchen/dining space. All bedrooms were set out to a high standard with en-suites so we all had our own privacy to escape from whoever's baby was crying! There was lots to do in the local area despite us being mainly housebound on the last day due to storm Ciara. Would definitely recommend.

I could not be more impressed by the venue, staff and location for our recent stay in Hurdlow Grange, Buxton. The venue was delightfully well equipped and set up for our arrival, providing all of the necessary kit and equipment we required to host a corporate team building event. There was more than enough space for 15 of us - we even used Amberleigh as a control room - and we were able to split the group into two teams, using different areas so that each team could have a hub. It was also an ideal location from where the group could complete a treasure hunt (we mapped clues all the way from the venue into Buxton town itself) which was very well liked by the whole group and provided some great entertainment! Lunch at the Royal Oak was just what we needed - some brilliant food and a great eating space. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone as all needs can be met for whatever type of trip!

Had an excellent time at Amberleigh House, and would recommend it. Staff were very fridndly, house was clean and modern. There were 5 in our group, so plenty of seating for us, but would be a squash for 8 people. Had a meal at Royal Oak, which was enjoyed by us all. Nice touch that there was coffee, teabags and sugar, but would have been nice to have some milk too ! Quiet location, but main towns easily accessible. Also enjoyed the games room.
