A great night was spent here at Hawthorn Farm just before Lockdown 2.0 We had been mountain biking in the Peak District and wanted a nice BnB nearby and this was the perfect choice. Paul was a fantastic host, a good walk around our room ( Room 1 - which was superb ) and made sure it was all that we wanted, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and again Paul as a host couldn't do enough! We will definitely stay again when we are allowed to do so, hopefully around Christmas. A comfortable room, with convenient on-site parking, fantastic breakfasts, and friendly hosts. We particularly liked the Derbyshire oatcake. Only a short walk to the town centre. In a nice, quiet location; set well back from the road, so no problems with traffic noise at night.

Lovely one night stay. Warm welcome by owner who showed us to our room (no 5).kingsize bed with sofa, tea and coffee and snacks and ensuute shower room. All newly decorated to high standard with quality fittings. Plenty of room for our 2 medium sized dogs with handy space outside room behind glass doors for them to dry off or to leave wet weather gear. The room is amazingly quiet over night with no road noise or noise from neighbouring rooms. Good choice of breakfast cooked fresh. Can't not fault our stay in anyway and would highly recommend. Thank you.

I recently stayed overnight at Hawthorn Farm guesthouse. Although the farm dates back to 1582 the facilities are right up to date and the guesthouse manages to retain bags of rustic charm. The cooked breakfast was beautiful including my first taste of Derbyshire Oatcake. 5 mins walk into Buxton and with a decent golf course (Buxton and High Peak) only 800 yards away. Definitely will be visiting again - hopefully with a larger group.
