It does, in fact, have a castle view being directly across from Chepstow Castle. Some renovations (painting) were in the works when we arrived, but I'm sure that's finished now. Owner was very helpful in organizing the transfer of our luggage to the next stop on our hike. Breakfast selection was superb as was the cooked breakfast.

After a Sunday lunch, I looked at the cheaper local venues first, but they were all full. The slightly higher price and being a hotel may have put some off the Castle View Hotel, but, for a few pounds extra, the quality was more than worth it and certainly value for money. Only one thing... watch out, the veggies come...

Dropped in for Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff and relaxed informal atmoshere. The food was excellent.Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. Not so al dente that they were practically raw...... we've all been there where they've just shown them a smigeon of heat! Excellent food and value for money. Would highly recommend.

Spent an excellent weekend at Castle View where we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The comfortable bar is ideal for gathering with friends to chat over a pint (or two!). Rooms are great with comfortable beds and although face the road are very quiet. An excellent breakfast awaits in the morning with very tasty...

Nice size comfortable, clean room. Lovely Castle views from the room. Parking in car park opposite £4 for 24 hours from 9am - no charge after 5pm. very good breakfast, served by friendly staff. Unfortunately no other meals served, but not fat from Town centre where there were plenty of restaurants and places to eat. The only downer was that...

It appears to be marketed as a b&b. In reality it is a superb boutique hotel. The moment that you walk through the front door you know it will be good. The reception area and bar/lounge are beautifully decorated and furnished. Check in is very friendly and informal. We booked a castle facing superior room .. A very good size...

Stayed on a Tuesday night in March. No dinner available and not a lot open in town. Found an Italian that was OK. Room clean, comfortable, quiet. Good breakfast. Can't fault the place for what they charge.

We (4) had to be in Cardiff and booked a night in the Castle View B&B. We arrived Friday evening and were welcomed very friendly. A few questions relating our visit could be answered immediately and it appeared we did not have too much time to loose. The hotel mgt. showed us to our room and informed us the required...
