I've stayed in this hotel 6-7 times, in different rooms each time. The hotel is reasonably priced and all the staff are extremely friendly. The best kept secret is probably the food served in the evenings: the menu is quite extensive and the food is excellent. The rooms are typically old, quaint English ones: squeaky floors, not particularly well insulated...

Popped in on a saturday evening for a pre supper drink, hubby ordered the drinks and we were served the wrong mixer with my southern comfort, bar man was not to impressed with having to serve the correct drink. There was a child approx 7 yrs old in the bar being not very well behaved much to the annoyance of...

Nice hotel and friendly staff - but room was shabby, and bathroom in need of renovation. Breakfast OK. Good situation in the middle of Chepstow. Ok for a single night whilst walking the Offa's Dyke...

The hotel is pleasant but in need of renovation. The room was expensive at £110 but had a double and two twin beds (we only wanted double) and thus if four people are going to races would be reasonable. We ate in the evening and the food was very good especially the fish and chips. The breakfast was good. The...

We had to get up from our table to ask for service , our full English was eventually ordered but other guests were served before us even though we in the dining area before them!...

Lovely old hotel in a very good central position in the town. The rooms are quite dated but very clean and all amenities provided. The evening meal although it took quite a while to arrive was very good and the waiter was very attentive, even though it was a busy night. Had a good nights sleep on a very comfy...

Easy to find, has a car park but you have to get there early to get a space. Food is excellent - the best thing about this hotel. Rooms are basic, but you cant expect a lot for the price you pay. Our room had a pane of glass missing from the window that had been replaced with a peice...

First visit and liked the atmosphere in here! We haven't tried the menu yet, but we will be back with friends to sample what's on offer. Benefits are it is in the town centre as well near the local weatherspoons.
