We were in the hotel for my son's wedding. It was excellent. Everything went to plan thanks to the excellent work of the staff. They were friendly and efficient and kept in touch beforehand to make sure that things were going to be right. The hotel has a cosy, traditional feel about it and we will certainly use it again.... Good enough rooms at good prices, food excellent, especially the grilled breakfast. Top marks to the chef, who was very friendly. Lots of walking to do along the riverside, ideal for walking dogs. Hotel located at end of Main Street and only five minutes away from everything, including walks and shops. You must try the fish and chip shop.

The Hotel is situated in the small charming town of Dunkeld close to the River Tay. The owner and all the staff gave us a very warm welcome, the food was very good, not a huge choice but well presented and freshly cooked. The en suite twin room was adequate, very clean and comfortable, the shower a bit on the... More

We chose here for lunch last Saturday as it was one of the places that accepted dogs. Fair do - you have to eat in the bar or outside in the large beer garden rather than in the lovely restaurant area but the bar was just fine. Some of the tea rooms in dunkeld were extortionate ie. £6-7 for sandwiches... More

This hotel was fully booked when we arrived without booking a table, however we were given a table right away. Excellent service from the moment we entered through the door until we left. Staff very friendly and great with children. Food was beautiful with an efficient wait. Definitely worth eating here! 👍🍽

Walking through the front door, you are hit by a foostysmell and the toilets- almost turned round. It's extremely tired looking, as is the bar. However the service and dining room more than make up for it and the food was fabulous. Get into the dining room by ignoring the entrance and you are in for a treat!!

The hotel is over 200 years old and is showing a lot of wear. We booked a room on site for 1 night and it was passable. There was an insect checking box on the floor of the closet - but there was no evidence of insects and we are very thorough checkers. We stored everything on upper surfaces and... More

Stopped in here while in Dunkeld, we were looking for somewhere we could go with our 2 greyhounds. We were pleasantly surprised when we found the Royal Dunkeld Hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we enjoyed popping in for coffee. We would love to come again for food.
