Absolutely stinking, bed bug tape behind the bed, and behind beds absolutely stinking too, and furniture must be like from 1940’s, avoid at all costs, the staff were a bit cheeky and very unfriendly and refused to acknowledge any of this and started getting more...More
I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the years but i have to say i've never met such friendly reception staff before... its more like a family... The whole team were welcoming and so helpful.
I really will miss not being there.
We needed some overnight accommodation as we were working in the area, so we wanted cheap and easy parking - that's what we got.
The rooms are OK and the location is good for central Folkstone - we were 10 minutes drive from the site...More
I spent two nights at the Southcliff, and while I agree it is a little 'tired' I think it offers excellent value for money. It was comfortable and very clean, the staff were very helpful.

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay en route to Paris. Wasn't expecting luxury, rooms are dated and relatively clean. I went to bed early as had an early start to get the tunnel and drive to Paris.
