Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed for two nights and had a fantastic stay. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, the room was lovely and had a very comfortable bed. The service was excellent, whether it be in the bar, at dinner or at breakfast. The food was delicious! Despite being so close to the town centre, the noise levels were really low. I wasn’t disturbed by traffic or any other external noise at all. I would definitely stay here again.

I hate to leave a bad review but unfortunately after visting the Leaside a few times things do not get much better . The good feature i the outside area is really lovely and the best in the area for outdoor drinks . 50% of the staff are friendly and welcoming however the other 50% are quite rude and seem to have a bad attitude! I attended a 60Th birthday party here my friends and we were quite shocked at the manner of some of the ladies who work there . The young ladies were grouped together talking about lads they fancied , lots of staff hanging around reception seeming very unprofessional for a hotel reception . One of the guests commented that she felt quite intimidated walking in and passing the small reception area as there were a good few staff hanging round doing nothing but chatting and being loud . I also attended the bottomless bubbles on Friday night the food wasn’t that great , I would liken some of the food to an Iceland buffet but the drinks were a plenty which was great . Again some of the staff really lovely and friendly. The man who welcomed us in was so lovely I didn’t catch his name but I would say he is in his 50s , if all staff were like him then this place would be so much better . One lady with a really bad attitude and was so rude when we sat down made she made us feel quite uncomfortable I think maybe some of the staff need training on how to be friendly to customers. I understand that the people that work here must like their jobs and get on well etc and of course it’s great to have a laugh but I just feel there is a lack of professionalism and it doesn’t come across well to the paying customers . It really hope that it improves .

Visited with friends after work for cocktails and dinner. Very near to train station and easy to get to for all. Service was excellent. Decent cocktail menu and the food was really tasty. Very appetising extensive menu. I've never been before but I'll certainly return.

the hotel grounds are nice but step out of the grounds and you are in an unattractive area. The hotel is also sited on a busy junction with a railway line passing very close by. However they offer clean attractive accommodation. There are well stocked bars a fair selection of evening meals and an amazing breakfast. Our stay was midweek

If you ever have to fly into Luton, get a cab to Leaside Hotel. The roughly £11 (cash) taxi is worth the visit to this lovely hotel. They looked after us after a very long hard day of missed flights. The beds and shower were awesome and to be asked at breakfast how we might like the avocado to be dressed was simply an amazing “cherry on top”! The staff were just so hospitable and the breakfast (of both cold continental and hot served to order with fresh coffee) is also well worth the extra. You won’t find better value out and about in Luton. After an easy 3-4 minute walk to the train station we are feeling so thankful that our trip is back on track (as we sit on a train to our next destination)!

What a wonderful place to stay. Was totally taken back from the transformation of the interior of this hotel. I attended a party here 14yrs ago and it does not look like the same place. Staff were so attentive and we were even given an upgrade to a suite. That was a lovely surprise. We have moved up north. but stay down south to visit family. Will definitely be staying here when we visit. Thank you for taking care of us at breakfast Nikki. We will be back.

We were attending a wedding at this hotel, so decided to stay the night. Our room was lovely, newly refurbished with a comfy bed. In fact, the whole hotel was way above my expectations. The outside area is fab, the new cocktail bar looks amazing and the main bar area was amply staffed by friendly and efficient team members. But what impressed me most was the customer service from the lady manager (sorry but I didn't get her name) and the chef. I am a really fussy eater; I am a gluten free veggie who doesn't eat eggs. As you can imagine, choosing a breakfast was difficult (even though the weekend breakfast menu is amazing with a huge choice of dishes). However, the chef went above and beyond. She even popped to the local shop to buy some gluten-free bread for me. I would definitely stay here again and I would absolutely recommend it.

Myself and my husband booked this hotel as we were going to a concert in Coventry & were visiting Whipsnade zoo the next day so we wanted to stay near. We checked in about 1am after travelling. I called earlier that day to advise we would be late and the staff were so accommodating and told me exactly how to get the the entrance as it is down a side road. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Rooms: the rooms are beautiful, we stayed in 101 - it was equipped with hair dryer, tea/coffee, toiletries, tv, air conditioning, balcony and fee wifi, the shower was very spacious and was a rainfall shower, the bed was king size so lots of space and they were so comfortable, we both slept like logs. Food: when we checked out we went to their restaurant to get breakfast and the selection they offered was amazing. Everything from full English, including halal options, to American style waffles. It was so tasty and the presentation was exceptional, it come out in about 10 minutes of ordering. Decor: the decor is so lovely. It’s a cosy quirky vide but with a modern twist. I am currently trying to convince my husband to let me decorate our house like their restaurant- it’s so Boujee I love it. Everything about this place is beautiful. I would 100% come back!! We are from up north and I would travel down just to spend a few days here - we didn’t get to take full advantage as it was a quick drop stay but the outside seating area gives me holiday vibes. I actually can’t fault anything about it. Top marks from us!

I booked this for my wife and I for after seeing the killers in Coventry. Just needed somewhere as we are northern and wanted to make a weekend of it by doing something on the Sunday. Arrived very late, no issues whatsoever, able to get a couple of soft drinks no hassle after long travelling. The room was great. All you need for a hotel room, plenty of character and gets away from the standard hotel you get with chains. Great bar and restaurant area. Bed was very comfortable and had a great sleep, outside area tidy, maintained and plenty of space and decoration. Had we not had work on Monday morning we would have stayed another night.
