We stayed for two nights on a Travelzoo deal which proved to be excellent value. Our large room overlooked the lovely grounds and was well furnished with a sofa, easy chair and desk and chair. Parts of the hotel looked a little tired but on the whole it was clean. The evening meal was of restaurant quality but at good...

Some may consider this property to have old world charm whilst others may feel it just needs upgrading and some tlc. We are somewhere in between. Firstly, it wasnt overly expensive and £10 extra for breakfast was acceptable even if they ran out of some items because "the delivery lorry was late". Hardly a valid reason in a 4 star...

We came here as a group of six having booked some time ago. After an initial mixup of the rooms we were eventually allocated the two twins and one double which is what we booked but one couple were given a room in the mews which was not up to four star standard. Needed updating. Discount given for that room....

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. The room types booked were all double rooms. This was no fault of the hotels.

We have stayed here three times now and the hotel and surrounding grounds are lovely. It is a good base to have days out from and we enjoyed a barge ride from Hungerford and a visit to Newbury. The rooms are sometimes a little tired looking decoration wise but always clean and comfortable. The restaurant was pleasant and with lovely...

Service in the Lounge and Bar was awful. I decided to eat a Bar Meal in the lounge. I sat down and waited for someone to come over to ask if I wanted a drink etc. The barman had taken an order for drinks at an adjacent table, delivered them, ignored me and walked back to the bar. A number...

My friend and I stayed here at the weekend for one night, location wise it was perfect with me coming from the west midlands and my friend from the south coast. The property and grounds are beautiful and in an amazing location. Perfectly situated a stones throw from Newbury, where you have an array of bars, restaurants and shops for...

Elcot Park Hotel is closer to hungerford than newbury. On the first night I thought that i would be writing an awful review but this was a stay of two halves. It is an old manor house set in lovely grounds with beautiful views over the valley of the river Kennet. The room was ok and the staff were very...

We booked this hotel to meet up with family on the Saturday on the first Bank Holiday in May. Rooms were OK, if not a bit small for the type of room. Room facilities were OK. But air conditioning unit right outside the room meant that we had to keep the windows shut to avoid an awful noise. We had...

On first sight this hotel is lovely - the original building and beautifully kept grounds are a pleasure to see. Public areas are well presented and furnished and there are original features to remind you of the history of the building married with some very modern furniture and decoration. Our two night break included dinner on the first night but...
