I have stayed at this hotel and also met friends work mates here for drinks meet up and mini break few times over past 10 years The hotel is very nice but like so many others such as badly run down poor hotels such as The Grand, The Royal, RedLea and Clifton which are very poor shabby poor quality rundown...

Just returned from a 5 day break with national holidays..and we couldn't fault it..The whole holiday experience was excellent.Hotel and bar staff are pleasant and freindly.The rooms are what you expect for budget holidays but they are clean and tidy and comfortable and you do have the option of upgrading your room at a cost .The hotels offers a buffet...

We were with a coach trip with National Holidays and I must say this is one of the best hotels we have been in with a bus trip. The room was large. Just back from a short break on my own in Scarborough. Really friendly hotel staff many guests had been there several times before and staff knew their needs before being asked. Unable to fault just had super weekend the staff all very friendly and competent the hotel is spotless the food is fine with a decent choice it is a buffet breakfast and table service for evening meal . There is nightly entertainment in a relaxed style. This hotel gives superb value for money we can't wait to return

Went to the new southlands hotel Scarborough with shearings holidays. Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Great service. Food was very good. Hotel was clean. It was about a 15 min stroll into town. The finicular tram was at the bottom of street.
