From the start it looked good from the outside but very old and in need of some repair and maintenance. The room was located on ground floor opposite public toilets which every time someone went you could hear them...

The hotel is basic but it's ok for a couple of nights away, it could do with a paint in the room, we took our dog they charge 10.00 a night, the breakfast is amazing. Would stay again. The staff were very friendly.😀

I booked a weekend from 16th December for 2 nights at the Grand Hotel as surprise for my daughters 19th birthday. On arrival the Grand had closed due to viruses in the hotel and they had arranged for us to stay at the Clifton instead. This was our first time staying in Scarborough and the Clifton was quite out of...

My husband and I stayed here at short notice as an alternative to the hotel we had booked. Our original choice, The Grand, had been closed due to a virus outbreak and we were moved to The Clifton which, I believe, had closed for end of season. On arrival, we found the staff welcoming and friendly and understanding of the...

Spent the weekend with the wife and her parents and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice cheap no thrills hotel. Good breakfast and decent evening meals; all self service. Nice well stocked bar. All staff pleasant and helpful. We had a standard room with a superb see view that was relatively warm and comfortable albeit a little outdated with old fashioned fixtures...
