The Grand ain't so grand anymore..This once impressive building is being allowed to drop into a state of despair. How sad. The outside is looking unclean and untidy. There were empty wooden pallets lying 5 metres from the main entrance. The balcony overlooking the sea is used more by seagulls then visitors and the evidence is left there to be...

My partner and I visited The Grand on a midweek Groupon deal, not expecting much. My partner has always wanted to explore it so it was a chance for a little cheap jaunt and a few good photos. We were pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong, it is a bit weird. The past glory is evident but it's all a...

Stayed for five days whilst on a coach trip with National Holidays. Our room was warm, clean, well decorated, new carpet, newly fitted shower room. There was a choice of five main courses for dinner, various starters and desserts . Two for one drinks each evening. Excellent breakfast.friendly staff. Excellent value.

This building must be appreciated for providing a glimpse into the past. Considering what a huge building it is, its still in perfectly good working order. Bear in mind this is a hotel that was built in victorian times. The food and the room is very good value for money. Free breakfast with a more than reasonable room price. The...
