Looks like a lovely building outside and in the lobby. That's where the good ends. We had to queue nearly 40 mins to check in. Got in the lift which smelt awful the landing carpets were dirty and bits missing. The bed was comfy that's all I can say about the room.our clothes stunk of a musty smell after. Very...

£35 for bed and breakfast. Hotel is tired and in need of refurb. But staff helpful. And for the money it was a bargain. You can imagine that in its time The Grand hotel lived up to its name. We were in 104, it had a little shared terrace and overlooked the sea. The entertainment was entertaining. Happy hour was...

Do not stay here, absolutely horrendous.Rude and unhelpful staff, disgusting restaurant.. just awful. Be warned. We came for a last minute holiday with my elderly parents, elevators don't work even!!! We waited in line to complain to the management, but they didn't care, or offer us any compensation., they denied our complaints and told us we were the first people...

Cheap and cheerful! After booking at 5pm on the day we had a nice 6th floor room with a breath- taking view over South Bay. At £30 for the night it was all in all ideal for what we needed for our last minute stay.

Room freezing for first couple of days as obviously not been in use - lift out of action to begin with meaning carrying luggage downstairs. Food good selection. Entertainment good but so loud it was distorted which was a shame but general rooms so cold people were sitting in their overcoats.

The Grand Hotel, is very grand, maybe a little tired, and a little drafty, but such beauty, high ornate ceilings, very well preserved, some small sitting rooms, and some larger, comfortable hotel, staff good, food basic, hot and plentiful, bedrooms warm and pleasant., views stunning. Enjoyed 4 nights, Thankyou.

If I could give this hotel a 0 star I really would, walking into the hotel I was so excited it looked absolutely beautiful, got my keys which was easy enough to be told I'm sleeping in the basement! The room was literally next door to the kitchen, the room smelt like cooking fat everytime I walked into the room...
