We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. We were very lucky to get a late booking due to a last minute cancellation. Our plan was to arrive early and get local public transport into Scarborough so we could forget about the car. We arrived at 9:30am and despite check-in being 3:00pm the owners could not have been...

As soon as we arrived, and drove up the driveway to the parking area, we knew we were on to a winner, all parking is free, and there is ample room. The garden is to die for it is immaculate, and is so big what with a decking area, further up there is the summer house with exellent views, the...

Stayed the one night as it was in the area we wanted to be for a mini break and we chose this because of the good reviews. Really lovely place, spacious modern room and bathroom with bath which we always look for. David the owner was waiting on our arrival and showed us to the room (there are only 2...

Chestnut cottage B and B has good facilities and is well situated for visiting the coast and countryside. The owners were good hosts and made us feel very welcome. The window of the room was glazed to exclude any road noise and had a view across the garden. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here.

Breakfast is excellent & the gardens are beautiful, we enjoy sitting in the garden or in the summerhouse in nice weather. Adele &...

We have just spent two nights at this delightful B & B. Adele and David are lovely people and made us so welcome. The house is stunning and the gardens are also magnificent. It is in a very good location so we visited Whitby and on our way home to the Midlands we went up to Thirsk. The house itself...

A great location, easy to find. A warm, friendly welcome and immaculate, spotlessly clean room. Breakfast great to set you up for the day exploring the area. Very friendly hosts. Plenty of information on things to do in the surrounding area useful.

Stayed for a short break. Cannot fault anything about this place. Lovely immaculate double room with large en-suite shower room. Breakfasts are superb with everything cooked to order by David. A very welcoming host who makes you feel like nothing is too much trouble. Would really recommend a stay here. Thanks to David & Adele

Great room with a spacious en-suite, host was friendly and made an excellent breakfast. The wifi worked great, and the bed was super comfortable. My only complaint would be the road gets really loud at night.
