This is a really lovely place to stay, charming traditional character with modern comfort. Our room had a roll top bath in and was immaculately furnished. The restaurant 1881 serves excellent evening meals with frequent menu changes. Breakfast was amazing and the staff could not do enough. Highly recommended for a few days rest.

Wrea Head Hall, rescued from the brink, is now transformed into a superb country house hotel, which thanks to the owners who saw its potential, exudes charm, distinction and impeccable taste. Think of a Yorkshire Mandalay, approached by a curling drive, standing on a hill, surrounded by its own woods and parkland, with distant views to the sea. I think...

My wife as a birthday treat booked a midweek break at Wrea Head in March. We decided on this occasion to travel by train to Scarborough and had a very relaxing journey. We were greeted by Anne and were shown to our favourite room. We instantly felt at home and proceeded to totally relax, which is exactly what we wanted....

We used to go for occasional visit to the Wrea Head when it was a hotel run by English Rose hotels but it had became rather dated and in need of refurbishment so we have not been for several years. We returned this last weekend for a three night stay after receiving very good feedback from family who had visited...

Anne and her team were fantastic. This is quite an intimate experience with the hotel being small and the service they have got spot on. Stayed in Room 21 which was stunning. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, choice of two menu's with some delightful food on offer. The food was one of the best meals I have ever...

If you treat yourself from time to time, then please visit the Wrea head hall hotel. From checking in, and shown to your room, to the quality of service and food. If you like comfort, cleanliness, wonderful manners, and 'nice' pint and Michelin standard food - then I can highly recommend this hotel. I wish I had wrote down everyone's...

You approach this hotel up a long driveway when the imposing old Manor House comes into view. It is surrounded by lovely grounds & views. It has over the last few years undergone major renovations which are very tasteful. The food on offer is very good and the staff really friendly & helpful. Have stayed twice & will definitely return...

My partner and I stayed for two nights at the Wrea Head Hall Hotel and had an amazing stay. I have stayed here before but it was my partner’s first visit and we had taken advantage of the hotel’s special offer of Dinner, Bed and Breakfast plus Cream Tea for less that £160.00 per couple per night. This was cheaper...

We were celebrating a family birthday and an 'afternoon tea' at Wrea Head Hall fitted the bill perfectly. From our arrival we were treated with friendly and efficient service. We enjoyed well filled sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, a delightful boozy desert and a good selection of pretty cakes. The fudge was my particular favourite.
