Just spent 4 nights here on a Shearings holiday. Everything as expected from a Shearings hotel - a bit shabby but clean and comfortable - and very warm! The hotel is very near to Scarborough Castle and has sea views over both the North and South bays. We had an excellent view over the north bay, which was a bonus...

Thank you for your review. It is nice to read that overall you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry that some of our menu items proved so popular they were unavailable when you came for your meals. I know we have had to up the number of potions of the Millionaire Shortcake we prepare each week as this is a...

My friends and I visited the Bay Norbreck on a Shearings Holiday for a Monday/Friday trip. The hotel is in a very imposing position high on the top overlooking the sea on all sides. The views are fantastic and I would imagine all rooms have some sort of seaview. We throughly enjoyed our visit and found all staff to be...

Second visit to the Norbeck with Shearings weekend plus. Rooms are OK bathrooms are small but you don't spend much time in there. The room was a bit chilly on first night but there was a heater to plug in that did a good job. The food was ok plenty of choice, something to suit everyone. Some of the waiting...

Thank you for the review Anne and weren't you the lucky one with the bingo win! I hope you brought yourself something nice with the money. There is lots to see in Scarborough and the surrounding areas so it is good that you had 3 dry days to enjoy it. I look forward to seeing you next time.

Excellent views.Room needed updating but clean. Staff overstretched at mealtimes and had to wait a long time between courses. The views made it a pleasurable stay.Nightly entertainment was ok.Would stay again for short break.

First I'll get the little minus points out of the way. A number of rooms had the window sills flooded during Storm Doris (extreme conditions I know) and maybe the windows need rubber seals around them. The other small minus point is the lack of a lounge facility for people to talk in, without interfering with other people's enjoyment of...

Thanks for your review. Storm Doris did try to blow us away, along with a lot of others in the country, and the hotel stood up to her as best it could. We are looking to get the remaining windows replaced and appreciate your comments. I am very proud of the team I lead here and it is nice to...

Just returned from a five day break with Shearings..We have been on many of these breaks in the past and all have been good in all aspects, and the Norbreck was no exception. Nice clean hotel (if a little dated). Our room was a decent size with a sea view overlooking the south bay, at the other end of the...

Thank you for your review Mike. We are extremely lucky to hold the position we do, with not too far a walk to the town and seafront (even if they are down hill and uphill coming back). The dinner service is one of our busiest times of day but as you say, my staff are great and it is good...
