Three of us stayed there for one night, last May. I thought I had written a review, but just realised that I never got around to it. We had a very pleasant stay. Our room was large and clean. The main communal guest areas were very pleasant, with a lovely, large conservatory area leading out to a pretty garden. We...

We stayed for a couple of nights as a short winter break. The owners of this family run hotel were very friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere, even with our slightly manic dog. The service and food were excellent. We had a large double room on the ground floor which gave easy access to the garden. The location is also...

We stayed here for just one night but wished we had booked for longer. Our room was large, immaculately clean and the king-sized bed was superb. We were made to feel very welcome in this very interesting hotel - lots of character and history, lots of lovely period features and a large garden with a terrace which would be lovely...

The room was lovely. The public lounge area was smartly furnished and decorated and the conservatory and bar were warm and welcoming. The honesty bar...

This was the first time we had visited Sidmouth so we relied on trip advisor reports to guide us. Excellent hotel. We took a superior room at the back of the hotel away from any traffic noise as the hotel is on a roundabout. The room was clean, well appointed with a couple of easy chairs and lots of space....

Being on a business trip, I booked a single room and, found it to be comfortable and importantly, immaculately clean. The shower room was of course spotless and very well illuminated and with a pleasantly heated towel rail. The owners were very attentive and, the Woodlands breakfast was superb.

Booked the Woodlands for one night with my sister. Our room was lovely, clean and beautifully furnished. The hosts were perfect, helpful and friendly. Just a 5 minute walk to the sea front or town centre - which are both worth a visit! Breakfast was delicious. We cannot fault the Woodlands in any way and would definitely return. Thank you!
