Nice sunny room overlooking the garden. A 20 minute walk into town might be a disadvantage but a lovely tree lined walk by the side of the river. Good locally sourced food. The price was too high because of the location.

Stayed on a Friday night , the b&b is on the outskirts of Sidmouth ,the room was ok a few cobwebs around but otherwise clean and tidy . Good breakfast and lots of choice. £110 pound per night was on the pricey side more like a £ 80 b&b .

This B and B is on a delightful and very quiet road 10-15 minutes' walk from Sidmouth town centre. Alternatively the no. 9 bus service runs frequently from the bottom of the road. Our room was perfectly appointed, with generous supplies of drinks, biscuits and toiletries, and very clean. Breakfast was excellent, our hosts having no problem providing a full...

Thank you Coombe Bank Guest House, we had a wonderful night with you on Saturday. Lovely room, light and bright, very clean, excellent facilities and lovely en suite. Delighted to have my dietary needs accommodated at breakfast, thank you! Breakfast was lovely, service with a friendly smile and a chat. Wonderful walk into town, along the river under the trees,...

Coombe Bank is ideally located if you want to visit the Donkey Sanctuary as it is only a short drive away. It is also really easy to walk into Sidmouth (approx 20 min walk). We totally agree with all other Reviewers that the breakfast is EXCELLENT- locally sourced ingredients and a great selection.

We stopped here in August. The B&B is out of town, so prepare yourself for a 20-25 minute walk. The B&B itself was on a quiet street with amble parking for all guests. Our room was well decorated but could of benefited from a good dusting. The on-suite had everything you need if not on the small side. We asked...

Thanks for your late review. We are always say that the town is a 20/25 minute walk away but most of the walk is along the National Trust Byes Area which follows the River Sid to the Beach. Many of our guests thoroughly enjoy this walk. We are lucky as we are not troubled by seagulls as our friends in...

We stayed at Coombe Bank just the one night on a surprise 2 days away to Sidmouth to visit the wonderful Donkey Sanctuary! We found our room very clean and comfortable, chilly when we went in but the owner turned the rad up for us & was warm in no time at all. The bed was very comfortable and very...

We stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend which we booked through a accommodation website on their rating recommendation. When we arrived we found the location and parking facilities were not desirable, had to reverse, into parking space, off main narrow road with parked vehicles opposite, with obstructive views.(See photos) The property, which I understand was built in 1928, is located on a...

Thanks for taking time to write such a long review. You certainly gave us a few firsts such as the first guest to produce a proper camera at breakfast to picture the plate, the first to strip the whole bed and pillows thus saving us time and doing this before departing at 7am leaving a note of partial explanation, the...

We had a two night stay at Coombebank at the beginning of October and were not disappointed. Harry was a good host and front man and helped with our luggage whilst showing us up to our room. The room was very comfortable with all the general requirements and a very comfortable bed with quality linen. The bathroom was small but...

Thanks for taking the time to add this review. I still remember your smile when you commented on the Fried Bread - a lovely treat that we do not normally have. We have worked hard on our Garden this year and we have had numerous compliments but are still awaiting the ultimate from the Sidmouth in Bloom Committee of a...

We spent three lovely nights at Coombe Bank as a group of 4 friends. Hosts were very welcoming, helpful with our luggage and lots of great ideas. I am not always in the mood for hearing ideas of what to do, but Harry offered them with quiet knowledgeable enthusiasm and so we tried them, had a great dinner at a...
