This was a last minute booking and chosen purely on price. £70 bed and breakfast for 1 night - probably the best deal in Sidmouth for half term. I wasn't expecting too much but what a very nice surprise. Everyone was so friendly and polite. I didn't use the restaurant. The room was clean, functional and pleasant. If you're expecting...

The hotel itself is lovely! Very decorative and modern. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was powerful which was wonderful. House keeping, food and general atmosphere was brilliant. The staff were very helpful and the two ladies on the reception were above expectations and just generally lovely women, (short brown hair and long blonde hair, both with glasses)...

Really enjoyed our 3 day break with fabulous views of Sidmouth harbour and cliffs. The rooms were comfortable with lovely modern bathrooms - but no bath. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very small hotel carpark. Food was good but not top quality. We would definitely visit again!

Our family stayed here for one night and we all enjoyed the stay. The staff are all extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The location is well placed for walking round Sidmouth and the local shops, beach and cliffs. We had an evening meal from the set menu which at £10 per head for 3 courses was good...

We had a gorgeous room with a spectacular view of the sea. The staff was extremely kind, and went out of their way to help us park on the road outside of the hotel's front door. The room had everything we needed with a very comfortable queen-sized bed. The toilet/shower room was larger than most hotels. We were surprised by...

We called into the Bedford for lunch,we found it to be very well presented and tasty.Good portions served quickly by very efficient staff. I can recommend the beef if it is on the menu. The hotel is located on the front , facing the sea, and is just a few yards from the town's shops.

An excellent place to stay. Our room was opposite the beach with a lovely balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the room very spacious. All the staff were great and the choice for breakfast extensive and delicious. We came here as we wanted to visit the donkey sanctuary which we support and had the most perfect weekend. We will...

When we arrived the team were very friendly and helpful - we found a parking space which was fine. Room was to the side (9) which was a shame as there were some with a sea view left empty. Room was a good size with a smart bathroom. Bed was a bit lumpy (6/10) pillows the same (5/10). Room was...

The reception on arrival is second to none; warm, welcoming and really friendly. And that is how the stay continues. The room was perfect in every detail, the quirky lift was a delight and the food was the best! If you haven't had breakfast at the Bedford you have missed a real treat - cooked to order and just right....

Friendly and welcoming especially to our little Norfolk terrier...we enjoyed morning coffee in the comfort of a very pleasant lounge. Though we spent just a short time here it was long enough to form a very positive opinion of the hotel, its staff especially, the warm & welcoming atmosphere and last but not least...clean loos!
