My 8yr son and stayed in one of the lodges for 2 nights while we walked Hadrian’s wall walk and visit Carlisle. The facilities were second to none and Paul the site one really couldn’t do enough for anyone that stayed. My son loved it and was so upset we had to leave. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone.

I found this little gem online and I wasn't disappointed I just wanted something simple to be alone with my wife. Firstly Paul the host was brill and couldn't do enough for you onsite or giving you information on where to visit. The lodges were great TV fridge cutlery & fridge and the showers were spot on. The local pub was a 5mins walk and the food was fab and the staff were so friendly. A trip here made my interest in history kick start again with all the historical features close to you. Great 2 days thank you

We camped here for 4 nights and were really well looked after. Paul was so helpful, checking that we had everything we needed and explaining how things had to operate with Covid restrictions. There is a warm cabin with basic snacks and drinks and hot showers. Paul can also arrange collection to and from Carlisle train station and Bowness on Solway, for those tackling Hadrian's wall. It is a perfect stop for walkers on the wall as it's on the route about 10 miles from Bowness.

Stayed here on our final night doing a coast to coast walk along Hadrian’s Wall. Paul was awesome at welcoming us in, it’s a great campsite with amazing facilities. Paul went above and beyond any other campsite hospitality we’ve ever received. Would love to visit again

We camped overnight here in poor weather (in August) and it could have been a slightly miserable experience, but Paul the manager was very friendly and helpful and the reception lodge was well equipped and accessible 24 hours a day. We ate in the local pub which was good in all respects and I would definitely recommend this site for other travelers.
