Stopped one night to break journey up to Scotland. Location was perfect, just off my but still peaceful in the countryside. Friendly hosts and fab with our dog too. Comfortable room with everything we needed and proper fresh milk for hot drinks. To top it all a lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend and stay again 😊

We stayed at Crossroads House on our way back to London from the Isle of Skye to break our journey. The check-in was simple and flexible and our host, Julie, quickly responded to requests. Plenty of parking is available without reservation which made our stay simple. Restaurants are about 3 miles away so dinner needed a bit of planning. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was generous. Though we only stayed one night, we were impressed with Julie’s hospitality. We would definitely stay here again if we travelled to Carlisle.

Perfect location for our trip, just halfway which broke up our journey. The house is in a beautiful location in the countryside. Plenty parking, brilliant hosts, lovely comfortable, clean room and a great breakfast!! Also lovely large communal living room for guests. They welcome dogs which was the biggy for us as we have 2. Definitely be back
