After my visit for one night in September during my cycling trip, I must say I was really nicely surprised by the service and mainly family and friendly atmosphere. These things are something you will not meet everywhere and because of this, I will highly recommend it to everybody who is looking for short term stand, job trip or whatever.
This gem of a 'place to stay' was exactly what I needed. Firstly, a very warm welcome from Muriel. Secondly, a spotless, comfortable room with exactly what I needed. Thirdly, a smashing breakfast. Full English with variations to suit the individual. Lastly, REAL value for money. Patrick and Muriel were very helpful to this poor bloke and Carlisle travellers are lucky to have this Oasis of Quality in an otherwise desert of 'wokeism'.
Just had a one night stay in this b+b lovely an clean, friendly Irish couple run it the breakfast was lovely,a really nice place to stay well worth the money we paid, I would stay again an would recommend this b+b to others.
Just a 10 min walk from the rail station and a lovely welcome including a treat for Georgie my dog. My room was cosy and clean - there was a really friendly atmosphere to the place. Breakfast - it was the best full english I've had and I had the small portion - so fresh, nothing dried up and I dont normally like hash browns but they were lovely too I ate everything. We, me and my Georgie had a smashing time at Arkale Lodge
