While there is nothing wrong with this premier inn itself. The immediate area is home to 3 petrol forecourts, a combined snooker hall and social club. Habitual users of marijuana ( weed ) will be happy with the frequent wafts of strong scents of the stuff. While staying here ( I assume local youths ) tried car doors and even broke into a locked transit van. Police attended this incident. Some youths appeared in the car park there after. I made the decision at 3am to leave for home, over 110 miles away, rather than risk leaving the car unattended. That being said; Staff were friendly. Rooms were comfortable The rates for rooms at last minute were extremely cheap.
I must be honest and say that I was not expecting more than a budget experience because the price was so low but everything exceeded my expectations. My two children had their own comfy beds. Room and bathroom was really clean and tidy and we all felt very comfortable. The breakfast tasted really was beautiful and much more than I expected- would definitely recommend. Took quite a while before we got out food but we did go during the peak times. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and even gave my children a little pack to take home. Had to press a buzzer to see someone at reception though and sometimes had to wait before someone actually came but they were lovely. Definitely staying again!
So on arrival was greeted by receptionist . She told me I had booked 2 rooms. I had only booked 1 . After that was sorted , she said I had not booked breakfast . This was not correct so shown her my confirmation . She agreed I had booked the breakfast. The room size and layout was perfect. Large Samsung tv . However the dust behind it was shocking . To say we are suppose to be cleaning to a covid secure level . This was not clean . I videoed amazement . I have video and photographic footage. After a not so great night sleep in a room that was 27 degrees . No air con of fan available. . I must say the breakfast was the best bit of our stay . Very disappointed as we stay with premier inn many times a year . We have 2 more premiere inn stays coming up . Just hoping standards are much better . Very nice touch was the kids torch . Our son loved it.…
Avoid this premier inn if you can. Location was the reason we chose it due to visiting friends. On arrival we were made to feel like an inconvenience staff were clearly just not having a good day and were very blunt. There was no clean linen so we had to share a towel for the duration of our stay (no apology or form of compensation offered) I wasn’t expecting great things from a budget room but a clean towel is a necessity. Room was too warm and the shower smelt like sewers when you first turned it on. Constant banging of doors all night and generally just not made to feel welcome or valued as a customer
I stayed here for the last 6 weeks through work , last 4 weeks were without restaurant or housekeeping (for obvious reasons) . A well placed hotel with spacious rooms and great comfy beds . The staff could not do enough to help and were all friendly and helpful. Thank you to all staff.
