I stayed at Consort Hotel lastnight with my little girl for some quality girly time. I was very scepticle having read the reviews on here. However I was pleasntly surprised. We had a lovely double room. The lady on reception even kindly situated us on ground floor although the booking was otherwise. This was a lovely thing to do, so thank you for that. The room was lovely, clean, really big. Very homely and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. :)

I've been staying here for over 10 years. As always my suite was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The Bathroom was also spotless. A new larger TV in the room was a nice surprise. The new owners and lovely new manager are working hard to sort problems out after a break in and rooms vandalised during lockdown. It was good to see friendly faces that have been there for many year, especially Harold the porter. Always a nice clean quiet and friendly place to stay.

Don't know who's been writing the reviews but look through the pics below and you can decide. The showers trickle out and can't put the shower head up as soon as you put it there it literally drips out because the pressure is so poor. Staff were pleasant but thats about it. We had 2 rooms and both were as bad as each other.
