We were looking for a place to stay near Taunton for two nights (6 of us ). When we found the Pub eventually up narrow lanes, the car park was quite full with dinners, aways a good sign. Check in was a bit hit a miss, the rooms were all individual with different themes for each. All were very clean...

Having had a number of very good evening with small groups of friends and families over the years hear I was shocked at how unhelpful and inflexible the manager was when trying to book a dinner for a party of 20 for a pre wedding dinner. There was absolutely no flexibility on timing of our group arriving. In all a...

popped out to the Farmers Arms on Pie Night (Mondays) and we were not disappointed. I had the Chicken and Mushroom pie and my wife had the Fish pie. Both were excellent. I had a few pints of Otter Bitter( in superb condition) and my wife had a blush Rose. we even met and chatted to the proprietor, Alison, who...

I have stayed here on many occasions and it never lets you down . The location is lovely - surrounded by countryside and good views - the rooms are spacious and comfortable with their own personality. The food is superb especially the steak and venison and pie night is worth a visit on its own Don't bother with the big...

We were so pleased to have chosen ` The Farmers Arms`- it was absolutely magical and the perfect place to spend a night for a special occasion....

I was really impressed with this venue and plan to return. The Room (one of only 5?) was enormous and a lot of effort has been gone to plus the Beer and food very very good. The overall standard, and value, was much better than practically all other b&bs Ive been to. The only things stopping it from getting five...

This pub is set in a beautiful location off the A358 from Taunton to Chard. We visited early on Sunday evening and were enchanted by a lovely garden with rural views and a well maintained pub with restful decor. A number of customers were enjoying a drink the garden. We had some 'pie of the day' which was game in...

We stayed in the Blackdown Room. It was so spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a three course dinner with delicious wine followed by a great nights sleep. Breakfast was very tasty and set us up for the following day. Would highly recommend.

I went here for the first time with a group of six chaps following a meeting to decide on the logistics for a major outdoor event. We were tired and hungry! The welcome was warm and the ambience was terrific. We ordered five different main courses and they all arrived together, very well presented and cooked which resulted in five...

The Farmers Arms was a great place to stay for the night. The location was great and such a beautiful setting and quiet. The staff were so polite and friendly, the young man who served our table in the evening was a delight, so considerate. Checking in and out was quick and easy and again very friendly staff. The room...
