We stayed here a couple of nights in January and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were modern and looked to be refurbished recently. The only negatives were that the staff seemed to be new and not fully no procedures but for the £23 per room per night we stayed it was a bargain.

Another perfect stay at this hotel . Great price, fantastic rooms, welcoming staff. Stayed in one of the new rooms and was not disappointed. Very clean and comfortable. The 12pm check out on Sundays is perfect.

Two minor problems, not sorted out. Room not made up.The main light switch was fault, so no main lights. Hanger on back of door was loose, needed an alum key to tighten up. Reported, not fixed. Hardly any of the tv channels worked.

How far is it walking to town centre and also the racecourse.
Hi there Thanks for your query. It's about 2 miles to the town centre, so would take around 40 minutes to walk. To the racecourse it's about 2 and a half miles, so about a 50 minute walk. Regards Amy Premier Inn Team

Hi Wendy We're located around 2 miles away from the town centre so this takes around 40-45 minutes to walk. Our Taunton Central North hotel is half a mile closer to the town centre so takes 30 minutes when walking. I hope this helps. Samantha

"Ask for a room away from the road and the car park, and not on the ground floor."
"The rear rooms at the back of the hotel would be a good choice as cooler in this extreme hot weather"
"No lift up to the 2nd floor. That would only be a problem for people with disabilities or large suit cases."
"Remember to bring your fans with you in the summer. It's too hot inside the rooms."
"Ask for a room in the quiet area"
