Have stayed at this very nice hotel a few times. Is run by a family and is a fab place to stay. Lots of history at this ancient place.

We have stayed at this privately run hotel on three occasions, and have always found the proprietors to be very welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble and breakfasts are legendary as are the dinners.
A lovely hotel with very nice owner and staff, beautiful furniture especially downstairs in lounge and TV room. We were shown a very nice double but we meant to book a twin and were quickly given a suitable alternative.
