We were really disappointed with the hotel. We thought it would be a good 4 star hotel. Unfortunately the hotel is dated, dirty and the furniture was very worn and poor. It started on checkin when they could not find our booking. They took us...More
We stayed at Sandbanks twice, both times for Halloween. We took the kids and it was perfect for us. The family rooms were the best, the food was excellent and the kids entertainment was just perfect. They are a bit old for it now though,...More

Second time we have stayed here and it’s lovely. Nice big clean rooms and fantastic location. Nice views from the rooms and dining area. Nice breakfast.
Only downside for me was that the bed was a little hard and could feel the springs.

Hello, I booked a sea view room with balcony for my parents and a harbour view for myself and my partner and we were given good sized rooms in the newer (1970's?) addition to the far end of the hotel. I see you are from Bournemouth anyway so the view is something you are used to as as far as a Special Treat destination, I do hesitate as, without the location, the hotel itself is very tired and lacking in the style expected of a 4star ... the staff were very good but for me, the office-like ceilings and carpets of the rooms felt less than luxurious. If you want to stay relatively local, I would say that the Pig on The Beach would be a much better romantic option
