We booked an upgrade in this "4 star luxury hotel". The room had a balcony, but overlooked an adjacent building with only a partial view of the harbour. The bathroom was tiny and for large people or people with mobility problems would present difficulties. The room itself was a standard 10 foot by 10 foot with tired furnishings and a...

We called at the Haven two days in succession but only for coffee and to take in the view from the lounge window of the entrance to Poole Harbour, the staff are very attentive and no rush to move you on. Then for a pleasant stroll along the promenade at Sandbanks.

This is a lovely hotel in a most idyllic position in sandbanks. We had a harbour view room with balcony and although the room was dated in places it was very clean and comfortable though on the expensive side. The hotel is old but the common parts are lovely and their are plenty of places to sit outside including an...

Having decided to ignore all the booking problems I had with two members of staff in reception, we arrived for our 8 day stay. The staff let this hotel down. So does the uninspired decor and lighting. Some staff are excellent (Schultz the porter particularly, and Anika on reception) but on the whole they are poorly trained, and not interested...

A second visit within twelve months. I like it because it has developed its own character. Definitely doesn't feel as though it's been moulded to be part of a chain. Staff better trained than some more famous hotels. Stayed in Room 116 (balcony from which both chain-ferry and cross-channel are seen). Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable: the chef does...

On arrival reception wanted to charge our card up front and we soon worked out why….This hotel provided a 3* service with a 5* price tag. Great location but the rest was decidedly average. We had a 3rd floor room with no direct lift access to that floor and was accessed via a maze of corridors and stairs. No offer...

We had a terrible stay ... lack of willingness to carter for Vegetarians ... sleeping above a Disco so ask if there are events on as they don't tell you and then worst customer service once I complained ... literally no action was taken what so ever for our party of 4 this was a disaster given that we had...

We stayed for one night at the hotel. Originally booked a budget room but on arrival we decided to upgrade to a room with a view of the harbour and a balcony which was fantastic. Room was a fair enough size and so was bathroom although the downside being the shower had no power behind it at all. Tea and...

Had a nice one night stay here mid week and really empresses with the place. Staff lovely and attentive and nothing really to fault other than it's a bit old and scruffy in places. Had a great room with view of the harbour and balcony and the food in the restaurant was to a high standard. We will def be...

We stayed here for a last minute night away. Overall we had a nice time. We read reviews that the Haven was nicer than the sandbanks hotel. We had a coffee at the sandbanks and from the outside would have to agree (although both hotels look tired). The breakfast was very good; a bit more fresh fruit would have made...

The Haven Hotel is a luxurious four-star spa hideaway. Perched at the tip of the exclusive Sandbanks peninsula in Poole and surrounded by sea and sand. With direct access to seven miles of beaches and just a couple of steps away from Purbeck over the Shell Bay chain ferry. It’s your gateway to South Coast adventure. Featuring elegant and spaciously designed bedrooms with modern creature comforts. Many of which offer ocean view balconies, so that you can embrace the sea air in your pyjamas. We believe that these naturally beautiful surroundings deserve food that’s a little special. La Roche at the Haven Hotel offers an ambient place to dine. Highly acclaimed by locals and recognised for first-class service and exceptional quality with two prestigious AA-Rosettes. Maintained by the talent and skill of Head Chef Jason Hornbuckle. When the Sandbanks sun shines, our terrace is an enviable spot for alfresco dining. You can literally hear the waves crashing as you recline with a glass of wine. Relaxation is often thought of as a luxury; at the Haven Spa we think it’s a necessity. Haven Spa is a sanctuary to unwind your mind and come to your senses. Stroll from the indoor hydrotherapy pools to the chic outdoor heated pool, complete with sea view Jacuzzi and sun lounger area. Allow yourself the luxury of a spa pampering, performed by our highly experienced and friendly therapists.
