Have stayed in a few premier inns during covid. This wasn’t my best experience but was average. Had a pleasant enough stay and it felt clean and safe. What really let it down was the check in - no information given about breakfast or booking for dinner. I knew to do this due to previous stays. No info about the new covid guidelines like to ask for extra pillows as they can’t store them in the room. It was just missing that personal touch on check in. Housekeeping were all so friendly and stood out of the way when you was coming to allow you through. Receptionist the following morning was smiley and welcoming and that restored my faith that perhaps it was just the weekend receptionist that lacked that personal touch.

Hotel's Favourite
Arrived late in the afternoon and got a nice genuine greeting at reception. We asked for a ground floor room, which the receptionist worked hard to find, and she did. Room was very clean and the bath was joyous (shower only at home) Nice and quiet overnight too. Free and plentiful parking. Overall very nice place to stay, easy access to the main A14 and at a reasonable price. We are booking again soon.

I have only put this because I was unhappy, why on my first night went out on second day on return to my room, my bed had not been made bin not emptied & towels not changed. Went to reception were I was not that the housekeeper had put a letter in all occupied rooms. I can assure you I did not have one, I do under that we have COVID-19, but surely staff with masks on can carry out minor room requirements.

Very good location for easy access to A14 and Ipswich Town, reasonably quiet in the evenings. I stayed for work, so was booked in for 5 nights, was not told that they would not dress my room each day, so the bin was not emptied for the entire stay. I had to also ask for glasses and mugs to be replaced, which they were but did not top up the coffee and tea so had to go back and ask for them. Normally, TV reception would not both me but as I was there for 5 days found it very frustrating that TV signal was very bad, the picture quality was patchy, kept breaking up, ended up just turning it off and listening to the radio through the wifi. Also, had a problem connecting to wifi, ended up waiting 30 minutes on the phone to their Suppliers help desk, finally got it working, just felt that I was being pushed to use the more expensive version rather than the free supply. On the plus side, room and bed were clean and comfortable, would use again but this time I am pre-warned.
