I was pleasantly surprised when arriving the grounds are clean and tidy and check in at the pub was simple and quick! My room was very clean and of a nice standard with the amazing benefit of lovely lovely air con! ( it’s what made me pick this hotel ) Can’t fault it and within a nice gentle stroll of the town centre!

Visited outside earlier in May for fathers birthday drinks. Was seated in a lovely wooden hut/pod which kept us nice and warm and had excellent service! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to have drinks outside! A few weeks earlier we did the same and also had some small meals to accompany our drinks which went down a treat.

We stayed at the hotel from the Thursday night to the Saturday night we was supposed to check out the Sunday morning but we left Saturday night late . We had booked the accessible room due to my physical health however when we got there we were given another room . Thursday night was fine . We both ordered the full English and it was disgusting and a waste of time !! On the Friday evening we came out of the room to have a cigarette and we could smell cannabis !! We notified the lady on the desk and she came over to check, when we came back into the hotel the lady asked us if we could smell it and we no longer could smell it however the lady had sprayed air freshener every where , why spray air freshener if she couldn’t smell it herself!!!! When we went to bed at 10.00pm all we could hear was stomp , stomp , stomp above us up until 3.00am and then it started again at 7.00am , we had enough!! So that’s why we decided to leave early on the Saturday night . When we was unpacking the car on the night we arrived there was a male hanging about the car park asking for money to stop at the hotel and for drugs !! The situation of the hotel was a perfect location for us to visit family but the hotel and the food totally let everything down and would never stop there again !!!!! The picture below is of the butter that came on the breakfast plate !! All dripping around the breakfast!!!:

I stayed here last night with my 3 children and the staff were so friendly, room was clean, beds were very comfortable, great nights sleep and close to the city. I got back home over an hour away and realised my young son didn't have his favourite blankey which he can't sleep without, he was devesyated. I called the hotel and the lady who I believe was called Julie said nothing had been found, she even went to the room to double check and also checked the car park but nothing. I dropped kids off at their mums and headed back to Ipswich to see if I could find it around the hotel grounds in case someone had put it on a fence or something after finding it but nothing. Last resort was just to ask the staff to keep an eye out for it but Julie had been trying to call me but I missed the calls, I walked in and she had found it by trawling through all the laundry for the previous night, I can't praise her enough and my little boy will be able to sleep peacefully thanks to you, above and beyond and I will absolutely return here when in the area, lovely place, lovely staff, thankyou 😊
