After reading some of the reviews on here, we were expecting Fawlty Towers! This hotel is great. Typical seaside hotel, in a prime location. We had a sea view family room overlooking the pier. Apart from the early morning wake up call from the seagulls, it was quiet, comfortable, clean and had jacuzzi bath! Breakfast was nice, not rushed, although...

After a big dissapoint with another hotel/guesthouse in the area, we managed an extremely last minute (half an hour before check-in) discounted booking at The Grand for 3 nights. Our room was basic, but everything you could have asked for in a hotel room. So the decor may have been a little out-dated and the rooms and corridors could have...

I stayed here with my Grandson for a long weekend (14-17 Aug 2015) and was pleasantly surprised with what we found. Having booked the hotel, I then read the reviews on TA. If I was to believe the negative ones I'd have cancelled my booking immediately, however, I didn't believe it was so bad - and if it was, all...

I was a bit nervous coming after reading reviews on various websites but me, my wife and young daughter have really enjoyed our stay. Sure it looks slightly dated and needs a lick of paint here and there, but the hospitality, food and entertainment were very good. There were no noisy visitors staying, it was quiet at night and peaceful....

Don't bother checking in at this hotel, it absolutely stinks!! And the rooms are so depressing and dull, really not a good experience! Faulty towers got nothing on this place................ohhh and you can hear every tap, footstep, creek etc from your room!

Checked in only to find we had to pay for our rooms before we saw them. ( I have never come across this before and upon seeing our rooms then understood why payment was requested so urgently) The rooms weren't ready so we went in the bar. The area around the bar smelt really quite disgusting. After 30 minutes we...
