Stayed here over night, best room in the hotel with 3 sets of french doors and a balcony wrapped around three sides. Good was yummy. Sadly we were sent away as the hotel wants from 12 to 4 to deep clean the rooms, can't use a toilet mean time so legs crossed up the Rd. Although it appeared our room wasn't deep cleaned the issue was resolved and we'd happily stay at this lovely venue again...

Nothing Grand about it whatsoever. Greeted by the aroma of nursing home. The room was dark, dingy and a shocking view over what I can only describe as a building site. The pillows were like bricks - I called reception at 11;45pm for new ones, a guy delivered exactly the same ones. He even told me ‘I wouldn’t and couldn’t sleep on them’ Bathroom flooring didn’t even meet!

Sorry to say this hotel needs knocking down, floor boards creek in the hall way in the rooms windows not very clean, can't use toilets in hotel, only in you're rooms, the bar had no pump beer only bottles, over priced for bottle beer, did not have breakfast room only, if I did it would be 7.99 pp, I think the building has had its day, parking in Llandudno upto 4hours is 3.50,over 4 hours is 4,20,but after 16.00 till 10.00 am is free in some places in others its 1.20 over night, it all depends where u park, if u can get a space, so if u find a better hotel it will be better there are some nice hotels but very expensive the not so nice about 90 pn with breaky, seagulls on window ledge knocking on window in the morning lol

We booked on booking.com for bed and breakfast for one night, it was slightly more money than I would normally pay for bed and breakfast but the hotel appeared to be in a great location overlooking the sea, so I made the choice to book. On reflection I wish I hadn’t. 😞 Apart from the sea view, the hotel room was terrible and dated and I have to say the worst breakfast experience I have ever witnessed. The wallpaper in the bathroom and bedroom was hanging off. Parts of the bedroom carpet had been repaired with tape. The floorboards were very creaky. The curtains wouldn’t pull along the curtain rail causing light to stream in at 5.30am!! There were no spare pillows. The balcony was eroded to the point it was dangerous to stand on in my opinion. You could hear every movement from other rooms and the corridors from squeaky floorboards, and every time the person in the room above or either side of you used the bathroom you knew about it as the water flushed through the pipes. We were kept awake by very noisy neighbours shouting and swearing at each other, opening and closing their door and walking up creaky corridors, which I appreciate is not anything that can be helped by the hotel, however we would have been able to report it except there was no room phone in the room. We went for breakfast, and were presented with the worst full English Breakfast I have ever seen, with good thrown on the plate, there was no cold option or pastries, no choice of egg, and we were sat in a large room almost like a school canteen with no natural light or windows!! We are not fussy people and it’s very rare we complain, but whilst this hotel is in a great location and looks impressive from the outside, it’s a different story inside. I do hope someone reads this and the many other reviews here, with a view to bringing this hotel back to life

Booked through booking.com and our reservation stated that the cost of the room would be taken on departure. Arrived at reception to be told that wasn't the case. Offered to pay in cash as that was all we had on us until the following day and we were told that wasn't acceptable without ID which I didn't have with me. Partner offered to pay with his ID but was also refused due to the booking being in my name. Receptionist was very unhelpful in finding a solution. We then had to spend the first part of our break searching for another hotel. As a disabled person this was inconvenient and had it of been the week before and a bank holiday we probably wouldn't of found anywhere to stay and would of had to make a 2 hour journey back home. We ended up paying a few quid more to stay in the Travelodge. After speaking to people local to the area we discovered we actually dodged a bullet. The Grand looks rough from the outside and we are assured the inside wasnt much better. Our Travelodge room although slightly more expensive was clean and comfortable and as convenient for beach/pier/town as the (notso) Grand hotel. The Grand also tried to charge me the full expense of the room as a cancellation fee, despite the fact I was prepared to pay for the room either in cash or on departure as was stated. I had to make various phone calls to both booking.com and The Grand at my own expense to try and prevent them taking money for a room they wouldn't let me stay in. All in all a complete waste of time, extra expense and stress on what was planned as a break away to de stress.
