#43 of 54 in Llandudno
Enjoying a magnificent site of the Promenade with stunning views of both of the Ormes, this lovely Victorian hotel offers guests a friendly Welsh welcome. Tastefully furnished throughout, and retaining many of the original Victorian features throughout, the hotel’s bar and lounges provide the ideal locations in which to relax. Laid back days can be spent enjoying the beach, strolling the pier or shopping in the newly opened retail development by the main shops. Alternatively, take a tram ride up the Great Orme or discover the numerous sporting pursuits that are on offer locally, too. For a getaway discovering the very essence of North Wales - a region renowned for its beautiful coastline, Celtic heritage and the grandeur of Snowdonia - you couldn’t be better placed than in Llandudno. A small car park is located at the rear of the hotel, or there is unlimited free parking at the front of the hotel.

Well they say you get what you pay for, my wife myself and 2 friends stayed at this hotel for a night and this was too long. It was our start point for the Snowdonia 360, as we have very nice sports cars the main thing was the hotel had to be dog friendly and have off road parking this ticked the boxes, we arrived Friday the 13th yep should have guessed by the date, checked in fine reception staff are wonderful, as we are a car group when then went for a drive to the great Orme and then for dinner, I retuned at around 6 ish to find our paid for parking had been taken, the hotel receptionist said it would be sorted for when we returned later. Well guess what it wasn't we arrived back at 10.30 to find all 3 bays taken by hotel staff and they were not in any great hurry to move, after standing in the cold for 20 minuets they had finally vacated our bays, we then went to our rooms at around 11.30 the power in the room went off so no tv we went to bed and tried to sleep but no ever single floor board in that hotel squeaks. the next morning we had power for about 30 mins, so we decided to have an early breakfast and leave, £10 p/p for breakfast and I've never seen such tiny plates it was a joke. On checking out we complained about the parking fiasco and the receptionist said she would get a manager to phone me later in the afternoon. A manager never did phone and when I phone back I was told they were too busy to speak to me and they would phone back, you guessed they didn't I phone back 3 days later and they could not give a toss about me but she did refund my parking. would never stay in this hell hole again.

OK Where to start We decided to stay here on our RCZ Road Trip through Wales as it allowed dog's & Had RESERVED (PAID FOR PARKING) of the main road which was a must for the group . on the surface everything was ok but when we returned to park later in the evening our spaces were taken by the band this was stressfull and it took 25 mins to get them moved and being Disabled myself due to a stroke and having C/F it was starting to take its toll then went to my room to soon be faced with a power cut which lasted about 20 mins which messed up my Nebuliser routine . so morning comes and another power cut lasting at least 2 hours (checked out before Electric came back on) so unable to charge Gadgets etc and another nebuliser routine stuffed . so decided to complain about this to recepton. Surprise Surprise they were not very fourthcoming nor Apologetic in fact bllaming clients for using hairdryers for the powercuts Laughable in this day and age . we left our contact details and were told somone would call later in the day & guess what no call so a traveling Companion decided to call and the response was We are to busy to deal with your complaints today (A COMPLETE JOKE) SO NOW We were only offered £6 car park refund A Complete Insult and I was basicly accused by them of lying about my power requirements AND NOT REPORTING THEM TO THE RECEPTION ON THE SATURDAY MORNING so i feel We were robbed DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE WASTING YOUR MONEY ALL IN ALL A TERRIBLE STAY Rude staff and management breakfast was ok never again.

This hotel is very neglected - old fashioned, bland meals. I had dirty windows, a lock that was so loose I struggled to open the door every time, and the smell of damp in the basement 'entertainment' area is so bad it's a health hazard (asthmatics stay away). As many of the staff on reception/restaurant are surly I wouldn't bother complaining. I tried writing to the holiday company Shearings afterwards but they told me they had an ongoing relationship with the hotel which they wanted to maintain! So no incentive to improve. Plus a 5% discount to try again - no thanks!

Thank you for charging my card with out telling me and straight after you got off the phone. I explaining I couldn’t make my reservation in 24hr time because I was currently sat in a&e with my baby. I had moved my booking a few times because we both have in in and out of hospital for the past couple months. I had to move the booking several times as you were going to charge my card anyway so putting me under pressure to try and be well to come to your hotel as you won’t cancel my booking without taken full payment. And now you won’t move my booking anymore and taken my money. Thank you very much for being so horrible when someone else if having a rough ride.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel, the hotel needs a upgrade. This hotel looked dull and depressing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and caused back pains to myself and my husband. This hotel is not disabled friendly. The lift is tiny and wouldn't be able to fit a mobility scooter. There are lots of stairs in the entertainment area. The toilet is very low with the hand rails to help in and off the toilet. The room was miserable and dull. The TV was tiny and old furniture. The view was lovley and we were given a Complementary upgrade, but wow if this was an upgrade, I wouldnt like to think what room we had originally booked. The location was good and near the town centre. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant was horrible, and barely warm. I was extremely disappointed in my weekend away in this hotel. The hotel is overpriced for what standers you receive. The entertainment area is nothing as advertised, it's run down and not a place where it would get you in a party mood. I often come to llandudno but I do regret booking this hotel. Its a shame there is a lot of potential in this hotel.

Room Tip: If there is an offer on then I guess it's a cheap get away, but definitely would not be worth...
