Three of us wanted to join an elderly aunt, who was on a coach trip from South Wales, for her evening dinner. However she was on a turkey & tinsel trip which meant it was a roast turkey dinner & for this they wanted almost £27 a head; we declined & offered £60 for the three of us. The manageress...

Hi Brenmeryl Thank you for leaving feedback, I am disappointed that you did not feel our menu was worth £26.95 for three courses including coffee, the fact that it was Roast Turkey on the menu that particular night does not detract from it's quality and value, I hope that wherever you chose to eat that night was enjoyable and that...

my husband and I previously visited the Merrion and were delighted at the range of desserts, especially the meringue, which was light and fluffy. I have raved about this hotel to friends and last week, came with Brent Coaches for a turkey and tinsel break with a friend. Upon ordering the meringue, I was horrified to see on my plate...

Hi robert1 Thank you for your feedback, I am pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay with us recently, I can assure you that the meringue's are all home made and that we would never use cream from a can, we only use fresh cream in all of our cooking, I will discuss your comments with Gareth in the kitchen...

The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very comfortable towels changed everyday. heated towel rail in the bathroom. The location is excellent for shops, and concert venues. The best was the variety of breakfast and dinner menus. Everything was spot on.

Visited the Merrion with my Cousin 15th-19th October. My second visit and just as good as my first. Fantastic food and very helpful staff, waiting staff are lovely especially Val who mostly served us. Rooms very clean and comfortable with fantastic views over the bay. Nightly entertainment of a good standard Jo Daniels, comedian was hilarious. Highly recommended.

Our third stay at the. Merrion was just as good as the others, rooms are clean and tidy ,the bathroom was clean but there was a bit of mold starting to form on the roof, dinner was excellent as usual, but still no plan as to serving customers, sometimes you get served quickly other you are waiting whilst later customers...

Dear travelman44_8 Thank you for reviewing your recent stay with us, I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and that you felt standards were as expected. With regard to service in the restaurant, the staff are told to clear tables when the last person finishes eating, they can then serve the next course, because people eat at different speeds...

Like beach1Lancashire, we were disappointed with our room - a third floor back room with views of the hotch potch of town centre roofs.
