Visited for three nights and our first stay at the Merrion. Outstanding hotel principally the cleanliness, the staff and the food. Lovely bay view room with all the amenities you'd expect - clean linen, soft towels and clean bathroom. All the staff were polite and most helpful. Nothing was any trouble. The food was wonderful. Locally sourced and a varied menu which changed daily. Better quality and service than we have experienced in supposed higher quality hotels. All in all, an excellant stay with lovely people. Can't recommend highly enough. Many thanks to you all.

We have just returned from our 3rd week at the Merrion this year(cheeky extra due to you know what) The location of the hotel is second to none open my curtains in the morning and see the sea what could be better( we had a first floor bay window room) the room was spacious beautifully clean, with tea and coffee making facilities all included in the price. The food is wonderful all locally sourced and cooked to perfection. What really makes this a fantastic hotel is its staff from Paul and Gareth at the top who are more than happy to stop and chat to the excellent reception staff, housekeeping and especially the restaurant staff who looked after us so well, special mention to Val,Chem and Phil the pastry chef who went the extra mile for my favourite Italian dessert. Thank you all. We sincerely hope health permitting we will see you all again next year.

Stayed at the Merrin Hotel 15-18th October 2021 What can I say from checking, to the rooms which we asked for a sea view and wow what sea view and the food was fantastic, the staff could not do enough for us and everyone else in the hotel, the restaurant food was great. In all honesty can’t say a bad word for this hotel. Loved it want to thank all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable, will be returning

Had 2 twin sea view rooms on 3rd floor , both excellent. Staff throughout the hotel very friendly. Had stayed here once before on B+B but having sampled the restaurant decided to return with evening meal included. What a good decision ......choice of 5/6 starters , 5/6 mains , about 8 puds each night. Can recommend steak , roast of day , veg curry. 2 different decent female singers on in the lounge where drink prices were reasonable. All in all a nice mid week break.
