Please do not come to see our lovely town and stay in this dump. The owner (Neelam) is particularly rude and has no respect for her staff nor her customers. Her husband is not much better. Please note: this hotel is now closed - I walked past it on Sunday 12 August and it is closed with For Sales notices everywhere. Nice location - might be good for someone wanting to start a new venture!

During christmas I stayed at the heatherleigh and such a wonderfully time everything was fine and the only English member of staff that was there all the time was fantastic any problem or queary was delt with with such speed you didn't get a chance to complaine or ask again,the only problem was that the manager didn't care about the... twenty one of us spent a week end at heatherleigh hotel last week and had great time. rooms were clean and warm. food was good especially the breakfast. had good ole sing song sat eve with resident singer.thanks to staff for lovely time.good value for money jan from birmingham

I booked through Travelstyle, Now I know most of their trips are you get what you pay for but I wouldn't go to this hotel again if it was given free. I think my room must have been on par with the other reviews because it was dank, damp, cold smelly, odd fitting curtains, no sink in the toilet/shower room... More

So looking forward to a weekend break booked through Travelstyle. It was dark on arrival so unable to tell what the outside of the building was like. My friend and i had booked a well deserved break with TRAVELSTYLE and this is what we got on arrival,a once fabulous building so badly run down,the state of the rooms were appalling,tired dated with peeling wallpaper,filthy carpets and bedding and if you were lucky (i use this word loosely) enough to have a shower as opposed to a rubber... just returned from a weekend break with travel style o the heatherleigh and must agree with most of the reveiws about this hotel, we had what they say was their best room well it was large and had a sea veiw beds were clean and comfortable but thats where it ends no cold water coming out of the tap water... HAPPILY SURPRISED. I was origionally booked into another hotel in Eastbourne and the holiday company changed my holiday booking to the Heatherleigh. I was really upset and considered cancelling my holiday altogether, especially after reading the reviews linked to this hotel.
