Enjoyed the hotel and its position. Unfortunately we had a small front bedroom but due to repairs to the hotel scaffolding restricted the sea view. Also breakfast times were very early and therefore very restricted if you wanted a lay in because you are on holiday.

I've travelled with Daish's lots of times on my own in the past and overall had a lovely time until I arrived at the Claremont. I requested a quiet room, opening window and a bath. My room was directly above the entertainment room. The dreaded room 106. I asked to be moved because of the noise, it was as loud...

The room was small but adequate. The cleaning service was of a good standard. All the staff were excellent with loads of smiles. On two of our four nights the entertainment included clean humour which had us almost in tears of laughter. Finally we have to say we loved Eastbourne despite the weather being very cold but dry.

Visited for turkey and tinsel in December. Everything up to usual daishs high standards, apart from our room no.206. Very small room a third of which was taken up by the en- suite. Small wardrobe, no dressing table, small chest of drawers, the top of which was taken up by a large t.v., therefore no flat surface to put anything...

Festive break with a group before Christmas, with evening entertainment and the option of day trips out from the hotel. Hotel was a little bit tired but the rooms were fine and everything worked and was clean. The hotel was very warm, but it was a very warm December. Hotel is right near the town centre for shops and directly...

I was looking for a cheap hotel for one night and got more than expected. Tidy, clean room in an old (formerly very grand) beachside hotel - the fabric of the building alone makes it worth it. Expect what you pay for and this place will surprise you.
