Quaint property with leaded windows and wooden beams. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The cosy bar/restaurant was a most pleasant place to unwind after a hectic week. Excellent food Thoroughly recommended.

Although we arrived late and the restaurant was closing we were made very welcome . Nothing was to much trouble and staff very helpful. We enjoyed a superb dinner at a reasonable price. Everything was freshly cooked and served with a smile.

Nice pub, great atmosphere, good service, friendly attentive staff. Experimental Friday menu of pork belly on ribs, which didn't work on any level, terrible, inedible. The steaks however and the chips were first class so I'm told. We received free drinks due to the pork belly incident, didn't cut it with me.

Went for lunch and, between us, we had roast beef, lamb and steak suet pudding. All meals were well cooked and very tasty. Lovely room with log fire, and got really busy by 1pm. Wasn't cheap but not really expensive either - just over £60 for 3 main meals, 1 starter plus a round of drinks and coffees. Would recommend.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Found a very friendly welcome at a place oozing with charm and history. The room was very quiet and comfortable. The food excellent and a cracking breakfast (not usual as a vegetarian I often find toast is the only thing on offer at other places) I am adding this to my list of...

Stayed here overnight, the pub was packed with all ages of customers, some dining and others just chatting over a drink. The landlord and wife make you feel welcome. The breakfast was superb. Would recommend for drinks meals and as a B&B at only £60 a night

Had a lovely meal with friends and family here. Very friendly and attentive service in a wonderfully quaint and historic setting. The night was sealed beautifully by watching a great performance by Green Room Productions upstairs in the pub's function room. Fab evening and will definitely be back.

Decided to book two nights in The Lamb Inn for a birthday surprise. Always a risk but no worry was required. We arrived at 8:30pm on Friday, the staff were very busy but they welcomed us like long lost friends. We then had a meal, it is not your usual pub food. It was well cooked, all from fresh and...

Beautiful old pub with perfectly conditioned Harvey's ale. Staff were attentive while remaining unobtrusive throughout the evening. I opted for the bream and was not disappointed, the fish was cooked perfectly! Need I say more...
