We stayed here on August Bank Holiday for just one night. For the amount we payed it was an excellent deal. The room was neat and tidy, although a little small, the ensuite was more than good enough for our needs. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a highly recommended hotel.

Had the opportunity to stay at The Sheldon last night, whilst visiting Eastbourne. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a full English with proper bacon, well cooked with a choice of how you want your eggs cooked. Staff were courteous and polite. Location was close to the seafront and a 5-10 minute walk to the pier and the... More

Hotel is in a great location, close to the beach and downtown, has its own parking. We stayed in a family room, sofa bed was suposed to be for 2 kids (up to 15) however in reality it was not good even for one teenager. Room was wet. Whilst the stay overall was ok we were a bit shocked when... More

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. We are not a hotel, but a bed and breakfast! We are family owned and run and I am proud my son takes an interest. This is our home and yes we sometime pad about in bare feet as you would in your home. The sofa beds are suited up to age 12... More

Our first visit to The Sheldon and what a lovely place a very warm and friendly welcome and helpful staff when we arrived. Lovely big room and a nice choice of breakfast compliments to the chef. 2mins from the seafront and 5mins from shops and off street parking too at the hotel. My husband and I booked the Sheldon last week based on previous positive comments on Trip advisor... Although we booked the entry level room, we asked for a quiet room as it was a well deserved night away from kids and wanted to enjoy a lie in. The room was directly about the car park entrance and exit, so needless... More

We have 3 budget rooms available and try to allocate the one we think is most suited to your needs. We do not usually have any complaints on the room you stayed in and we have no idea what the noise that you mention could have been as there is no water pump in that are of the house? Our... More

We spent four nights here at the beginning of tennis week. We had a basement room which was very large with a huge bathroom with bath and shower. The bed was extra large and very comfortable. Slept blissfully well on the large comfortable bed. Guest lounges were roomy and one had toys for our four year old grand daughter to... More

This lovely guest house is near the seafront, the town, the theatres & the station. Yet the room was very quiet, the bed comfortable & the facilities spot on. Friendly greetings by staff & management made the whole experience enjoyable. The weather....not their fault.

Arrived and there were a few people sitting around the entrance smoking. Go in, check in was okay. Go to the room, was a tad on the small side. The bathroom was tiny. The kettle was broken. The tv was a little tricky to switch on, there was a manual with the remote... Wouldn't go back, just seemed like they... More

I am sorry you were disappointed. As there is no smoking throughout the hotel, smokers have to go somewhere and the entrances are where they tend to gather, so we have made this the smoking area. We try to keep it neat. Again, if you book a budget room, you are aware that it will not be as spacious as... More

Our first visit to The Sheldon. Have been going to the tennis for years but decided to stay in Eastbourne for the first time.
