Lovely area, lovely hosts, lovely food. However we would NOT recommend the Keeper's Loft - unfortunately the lounge area and dining room/kitchen are immediately outside so you can hear every late night word spoken by guests congregating (and clank of plate/knife/cup and fork/early morning breakfast prep) and likewise others can hear everything from your room. Also, after booking you receive...

Fabulous Hotel. Our second visit. 100% the best hotel ever. Bought my whole family here to celebrate my 60th birthday. Unforgettable weekend. We will be back very soon to enjoy another great hotel experience.

The weather was cold and snowy but the welcome in the lighthouse was warm and friendly. Paul was the perfect host, friendly, helpful and welcoming. We stayed in the New England room. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The whole Lighthouse was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and a fun and unique place to stay. The...

This was our second three-night stay at Belle Tout, and this time we were in 'Shiraz' room, which offers two seperate views, and comfortable ammenities, as do the other rooms. The welcome by the Manager and staff was as usual very warm and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. They are all absolutely lovely, and always go the extra...

A remarkable place with a varied history. It seemed that all our needs had been foreseen but without anything feeling intrusive. Food, service and location were all excellent. It would have been nice for our room to have been a little bigger but the structure (listed) probably makes that impossible and the lounge and Lantern go a long way to...

After many years of walking past the Belle Tout lighthouse we finally booked a night to stay there. An amazing place with fantastic views over the South Downs. The room we had,Beach Hut was lovely, cosy and comfortable and they really know how to make their guests feel welcome. The drinks in the evening and a chance to chat with...

We stayed at Belle Tout for my birthday weekend, fulfilling a lifetime ambition to stay in a lighthouse. From the second we arrived, Paul's hosting, assisted by Louise, was impeccable - every detail had been thought about, and the early evening drinks were lovely to come home to after a long walk; whilst his breakfast cooking is very special. We...

My sister and I stayed at belle tout for two nights as a special birthday treat and we had such a lovely time. Paul took such good care of us! Our room was warm and comfy. We wanted to stay in and picnic after a day walking- no problem- he gave us plates and cutlery. We don't eat pork- so...

We were then greeted by Ian for drinks which is a lovely touch to meet your fellow guests. We were treated to a sumptuous...

Having spent 3 nights at this cute lighthouse nestled on Beachy Head I can only highly recommend it to other travellers. Having had it recommended by a friend who lives 10 minutes away but has booked it as a "Treat" he encouraged us to give it a visit. Im so glad we took his advice. The lighthouse sits on the...
