Booked two rooms for a business stay for colleagues. Tried to cancel after one night due to the poor standards, this is definitely not a 3 star hotel. My colleagues were covered in bites after been eaten alive all night by bed bugs. The shower was a slight trickle of water, the rooms are shabby and tired. The manager refused...

I had a nice room with a sea view. Serviced every day. It was the most comfortable bed ever and the pillows are amazing. Extra blankets were provided but not needed as the room was nice and warm. Hairdryer and toiletries are provided along with plenty of tea and coffee. Had no problems parking in the square, the wonderful host...

Stayed here when in Eastbourne for a night out. This hotel is an amazing find and an amazing price. My partner and I attended a show which was at the Congress theatre which turned out to be just across the road from the hotel. The hotel is a beautiful Victorian building which has a lot of original features. The bedroom...

There was no real greeting on our arrival just shown to our rooms. We were in the basement rooms which were dark and dingy with a high wall for a view. The room smelt musty and the furniture looked like it had been found in the local dump. I immediately asked to be moved. the next room was a little...

Was meant to be a double room but was size of a single. Furniture looked like it came from a second hand shop. Was the sort of place you would expect social services to put people. Horrible carpets, curtains didn't fit, some detector beeping.

Booked a 3 night stay here rated on Booking.Com as 3 star. Was asked by hotel what time we would be arriving room was not ready. It had a terrible smell when you entered a very musty smell. Sprayed our room with Impulse. The wallpaper was hanging off in places the paint chipped the carpets looked old. We paid £86...

On the plus side, the service from the one staff member we met was excellent. The room was quiet and clean. The Wi-Fi worked with a bit of patience. Location is ideal for sea front. Everything else will throw shade over your life. The room fittings took me back to a 1950's era of the typical seaside resort, saucy postcards and...

Ellesmere was nice enough for a two night stay. The staff we did meet were friendly. Our room was at the top of the hotel at the front of the building overlooking the square so we did, in a way, have a sea view. The room was fairly basic with everything one could need. The wi-fi was untrustworthy and we...

We had to be in Eastbourne for a one night stay and chose this hotel because of its location and the price. Okay, so the hotel is a little outdated but it's clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were really helpful. We had a good night's sleep as it hotel is in a quiet location and the bed was comfortable....
