Very peaceful few days, lovely breakfast, enjoyable, well presented and deliciously void of piped muzak - a delight to stay, good central location for walks and visits and easily accessible for town centre, museums .... just good all round, nice smiley receptionists and comfortable, not pretenscious

We had a small gathering in the dining room of this hotel. The space is absolutely gorgeous, it's like stepping into a museum! The rooms on the second floor are tall and clean, bathrooms miniscule but in a good condition. The location is absolutely perfect if you don't mind a short walk up a steep hill. The city of Bergen...

This place is a real gem. It´s little, quiet and authentic house from the 1890´s in beautiful surroundings near the park and the university. The staff was friendly. And the price is really nice. Can recommend it!

A slight uphill walk from the railway station, and we walked around Parkveien to find it when we could have just continued straight round the bend at the top of the road - but that was the only negative. The hotel is charming, beautiful decor throughout the public areas make it quite unique and worth a visit. Our room was...

In September a friend & I stayed 3 nights at this hotel located in the quiet university area about 10 minute walk from bus station/train station--uphill last couple of blocks but ok with wheeled suitcases then up 12 stairs at end. Staff friendly & helpful—no elevator--she carried my bag up last floor as we requested a larger top floor twin...

We stayed here for two nights while we visited Bergen and were very happy with the hotel. Our room was comfortable, well furnished and welcoming. The breakfasts in the morning were excellent. The hotel location is also great when you take into account the relatively cheap room prices. It is an easy 10-15 minute wander down the hill to the...

I know this part of Bergen up on the hills and I love it. You have a short way to center town and a nice view of the funicular. That's why I noticed this location earlier and thought that I would come back and try this hotel one day. My feeling is mixed. You do chose this location because it's...

We visit Bergen several times every year, and like trying different hotels - this time we went for Steen's. It's location is next to a park, and is peaceful and pleasant. A bit of a trek from the bus or rail station, including quite a steep hill. Steen's is a small hotel, but on pressing the buzzer on the front...

Lovely quiet room, excellent and friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and a beautiful historic building which has been restored perfectly, on the edge of a serene park. It's a 10-min or so uphill walk from the train station, no problem with our rucksacks but for an elderly person, better to take a taxi.

Calm and relaxed atmosphere. Drawn back from the noisy main roads of Bergen, but still central. 5-10 minutes walk from bus and train station. A nice park right outside the hotel door. Breakfast included.
