Stayed Sat and Sunday nights, room large with arm chair and sofa, tea and coffee in room, no noise. Breakfast well adequate and filled up for the day. Found a restaurant by the info office just inside where the fish market is. Good price as fish is cheaper than pizA in Norway and very fresh

Really a very nice hotel on a super location. Great rooms, good breakfast, gentle staff. No complaints at all. I can advise this hotel to anyone. We had luck to get a room with a view over the harbour. I think there are not that many rooms in this hotel with that view. But the hotel is located right behind... More

We booked a harbor view room, but were delightfully surprised when we were upgraded to a suite on the top floor. There are three suites that share a large patio with views of the harbor. Breakfast was plentiful and good, staff was friendly and helpful. The only suggestion for improvement I have is that there should be dividers between the... More

I enjoyed my mid-winter stay in this small, friendly hotel. Desk staff were helpful and room staff very efficient. The breakfast was outstanding with a good choice of food. I had a lot of fun making myself a waffle with the batter provided for the purpose. The bed was comfortable and the room cosy. This is a perfect hotel to... More

If you are visiting Bergen, I highly recommend First Hotel Marin. Located at Bryggen. Short way to Fisketorget, Torvalmenningen and other attractions. This time I got a new room (518) with new adjustable beds.

I stay at this hotel about three to four times a year and I certainly recommend this hotel, firstly it is in a great location a few minutes walk into the hub of Bergen yet surrounded by bars and restaurants plus some lovely historic buildings. It has all the right ingredients being clean, fresh décor, nice rooms and great helpful... More

I chose this hotel because it was a very reasonable price for two nights, Friday and Saturday. I found it on Trip Advisor but I have also stayed here at least 50 times over the last ten years whilst on business. What I didn't realise and was certainly not informed about was that both bar and restaurant were closed for... More

Arrived for a one night stay December 12th 2015. Flew from Gatwick with Norwegian Air. Take the Flybussen from outside the airport for 160NOK/person, very easy to find and travel to Bergen. Hop off at Bryggen. Hotel is along the front of the Harbour but enter reception from the rear on Rozenkratzgaten. Very nice hotel with helpful and friendly staff.... More

Stayed one night and chose hotel mostly because of location, which is excellent - close to Bryggen. Staff greeted me friendly at arrival. Room was large and bed good. Bathroom quite small. There should have been a shelf or hook for the wash bag. In addition, the lightning in the bathroom is poor and in wrong location, which means that... More
