Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were shocked at how they treat guests… we felt very cheated! We booked and paid for 2 nights and couldn't use the first night because we missed a connecting train. They then canceled our entire booking without checking with us first. When we wanted to move into our room the next day, they showed zero flexibility and made us make a new booking for that night. So we paid for 3 nights and only stayed in the hotel for one night… we really recommend to book any other hotel in Trondheim instead of this!!! They treat guests really really bad!!!

thermo stat was broken.. customer service is nonexistent. it was freezing and the main desk was impossible to reach. wasn’t having it. it was night time and freezing and when physically heading down to main desk u’ll see receptionists just chit chatting away the night and having coffee instead of answering the phone. i specifically told them before booking that i am unable to walk so much due to a knee problem. so i’d appreciate a closer room to the main door. did not get that either felt like there was no choice but to probably just accept my fate and sleep in someone else’s body fluid. 😒 did not even get a room with a working thermo stat or clean bed covers. the blanket/pillows and under the bed and the sheets had god knows what kind of stains. i’m guessing the blankets weren’t even washed. was only given extra blanket. n they think 75 kr. is enough to compensate what i went through.

We bought the hotel night in Advance as we were coming in on the Euro Rail and wanted to experience at least a day in Trondheim. Unfortunately, there was a lot of flooding in the area over August and September and the trains were cancelled coming into Trondheim. We contacted the hotel the day of check-in as that is when we found out and they didn't care, after several emails asking them to at least compensate another night, they stopped responding. What surprised us was, they sent an email to us a few days before and didn't mention you can't reach them by train, which is a major transportation system in Norway. If you book in advance, make sure you stay elsewhere. They are not customer service orientated. Booking.com refused to assist us as well. Although this was an act of nature that prevented us from going.

The remodelled, newly decorated wood surfaces internal surfaces are beautiful and cosy. Hence, the indoor gaming facilities for children make an excellent time for them in the rainy Trondheim weather.

We were given a disgusting room that had not been washed by by the staff. (Depicted in the photos) Also in mind the current covid-19 situation, these kind of sloppiness isn’t safe for costumers when you find something that can resemblance human liquids on the wall. When we informed the staff about the issues, who had already been snide from the start, we were met with little willingness to cooperate. After not wanting to join us upstairs or see the photos we had taken, the owner immediately comes and shouts at us. He says that we’re not welcome to stay there if we have any comments about how they run their business, so we can leave immediately and find a new hotel in town. Plowing our luggage trough the snow with no help of fetching a cab for us, we eventually find a nice hotell in the same price range with a much more nice approach to our situation. We spend a lot of time of our stay on this, something that should not have been necessary. Steer clear of this hotel, unprofessional and crummy from beginning to end. Don't think these will be running any new hotels in the near future.

A basic hotel located quite good in the city centre. But 140 bugs is not very cheap for a night without breakfast and the bass of the sound of an ongoing party close to the hotel. Especially when you get disturbed in the middle of the night by an unexpected visit of guests having the wrong key card… No explanation by asking how this is possible, not even a sorry… sorry to say not recommendable!

I chose this hotel as it was the closest to Trondheim station and I was arriving alone by train after 10 pm at night. It was also the cheapest hotel I stayed in during my 3 week travel around Norway and it was easy to see why. There were no amenities in the hotel room such as a kettle, iron, hairdryer or safe. The carpet was stained, and the TV offered about 6 channels, one of them was Al Jazeera and two of them appeared to be Chinese Government sponsored channels. There was not even the usual offering of Norwegian TV channels, just NRK1 and NRK3. The channels that there were were not properly tuned in and there was distortion on the screen. The WiFi kept dropping in and out so I couldn’t watch anything on my iPad either. There was an overhead light when you entered the room above the door, but nothing above the bed, just two tiny bedside lamps so the room appeared dark and unwelcoming. Neither was there a wardrobe or draws, just a frame to hang clothes on with two hangers. The room was warm, and there was a temperature control so that was a bonus. The view from the window of the room I was in was over the train station and out into the fjord beyond. Luckily it was not noisy although I am aware that there were trains running throughout the night. The shower room was also quite sparse - the seat on the toilet was broken, the two towels provided were quite threadbare, and there were two dispensers on the wall, one by the sink, the other in the shower dispensing minute quantities of soap. The good point was that the shower itself was strong and hot, and appeared quite clean. The light in the shower room was on a sensor which took a while to switch itself off, this has the potential to be quite annoying if you are sharing the room and one of you gets up in the middle of the night On the ground floor was a breakfast room but I did not have breakfast or anything from the reception area so cannot comment on the food or drink on offer - there were also hot and cold drinks and some pastries on sale from the reception desk. The main thing going for this hotel is its’ proximity to Trondheim Station, however I realised on my first morning there that there significantly better hotels within close, well-lit walking distance across the bridge from the station

overhead light didn't work and the power plugs did not charge at all. receptionist was already unfriendly at the checkin. while the location is really attractive since it is less than 2 minutes away from the train station, I would highly recommend investing a little bit more money and going instead to a slightly more expensive hotel like Radisson Blu or similar that are just a few minutes further away
