This friendly and delightful cafe serves light snacks and pastries, and we visited it one afternoon. The indoor seating is charming and there is a pretty garden overlooking the river with outdoor seating. A little off the beaten track, but clearly a favourite with the locals and visitors alike. Not far from the cathedral and town centre. The iced cinnamon buns were delicious.
I enjoyed staying here. It is simple, clean and relaxing place. It is a minute walk from Nidaros or Bakklandet on the otherside of the river. Friendly staff is very much helpful. One and only "struggle" were very thin curtains in the room which let to much light in from the lamp right outside of my room window. Anyway I will be glad to come back when coming to Trondheim. Surely I am recommending this place.
The hotel was quite easy to find and close to town, making it easy to walk back and forth a few times throughout our stay while not having to exhaust ourselves after the long journey it took to get there. The room was much bigger than I expected and perfect for what we needed. I would’ve loved to stay longer to appreciate more of the scenery and accommodations, but I was unfortunately only there for one night. The only thing I’d suggest is for them to add a little more to the breakfast as the place is advertised as a bed and breakfast, yet the food is very average and something I could’ve easily purchased at the grocery store. It wouldn’t hurt to have some soft boiled eggs, something quite simple to make and maybe some other warm side or oatmeal, something to give it that extra enjoyment that comes with being away from home and eating at a hotel. That’s what’s keeping me from giving the five star, as well as them not mentioning the code for getting back inside the place in the evenings. If it weren’t for us bumping into guests struggling, we would’ve never known. …
Quite a reasonable place to stay in order to save money and get a solid accommodation service. We did not get any meal offers inside the the Nidaros Pilgrim Centre but the available restaurants were approximately 10 minutes by foot.
Unbeatable location, right next to the cathedral and the river, just a stroll away from the old town. Simple breakfast but bottomless coffee. The staff were young (volunteers?) and friendly and professional. All clean and nothing to complain about.
I spend a week in this hotel during my stay at Trondheim. I was given a really basic and small room but it was clean and quiet. Nice buffet breakfast with bread, fruit, cheese, coffee, tea... I would recommend it
Nice hotel with hostel feeling. Great beds. Nice and cool room. No blinds so a bit light in the room. Small but clean bathroom. Breakfast ok. Lovely location by the canal and close to the cathedral and surronded by the historic surrondings.
Located in the green area behind the large Nidaros Cathedral, and right on the banks of the river Nidarelven - in the middle of the city. No luxury in the rooms but good beds, good bathroom, good breakfast buffet - everything you need.
Small two floor hostel with enclosed garden in front. I got a room with gourgeous view of the river, Nidelven, and the houses at Bakklandet. Green and peaceful surroundings, close to the cathedral. My own bathroom. Ok bed. Good breakfast. I hope I can go back soon! Modest price.
I think the price of this hotel is quite good, considering its location and standard room quality. It is located close to the centre, with nice view to the river. The breakfast was "basic" (in comparison to other buffets maybe) but it has everything you need. My advise is BE SURE that it will be open when you arrive. I sent an e-mail telling that I was arriving quite late due to my flight. When I arrived, there was nobody (02,00 am), my phone went off because I was trying to call the phone number in the website (before discovering they had another phone for this cases) without success. Then I had to go to another hotel to stay the first night. Later, I knew that they even charged this first night to my company, even when it was their mistake. So, CALL THEM before you arrive and try to talk with someone if you are arriving out of their schedule (I don't remember well but I think they close early, around 5 or 6 pm). Additionally, I had to stay longer and after receiving confirmation from someone from reception, I wanted to be sure and I asked again the day I was supposed to leave initially and they said that actually there was not space. Then, I had to look for somewhere else quickly again.…
