Décor a bit strange with white brick walls make it look like Victorian prison at times. Very comfortable beds and plenty of room, breakfast ok and staff very helpful. Location good but we had a hard time finding it as the entrance is in pedestrian area and is the same name as the cinema complex
The Hotel is on recovery aimind to improve its facilities. It has a handsom staff and lokalisation Central in the town. Bed and breakfast OK. WiFi Works Perfect. Railway, boat and busses Close and turist targets Close With five minuts to the famous cathedral.
This hotel was strange... it is based within a cinema - I stood at the cinema ticket desk for a while (which was unmanned as it was early in the day) before realising that the Best Western check-in desk was on the fourth floor. I arrived before 11am and was lucky enough to be able to check in to my room straight away. My room was fine and had views towards the fort. They also have a buffet breakfast in the morning and waffle making in the evening. They are currently doing some building works at the hotel but that didn't disrupt my stay and I didn't have any problems while staying there apart from some very noisy neighbours in the early hours of the morning, but one phone-call to reception solved this and it stopped straight away. The staff were helpful at all times including supplying umbrellas as we had a few rain shower during my stay. The breakfast had a good selection, it was in a darkish basement with candlelit tables but there was a good fresh selection of bread, meat, fish etc with scrambled and soft boiled eggs and frankfurters. The hotel was in an excellent position and I would stay there again.…
Rooms are kind of worn and old. But bed was good, Wifi works good, and its location is perfect, right in the middle of the city centre. No free parking at the hotel. Breakfast was ok, but a bit simple due to refurbishing when we stayed.
I stayed one night at this hotel. The prize was the best in Trondheim, booking and paying a couple of months in advance on internet. The location is very good, around 5 minutes’ walk to the railway station. It was a little tricky to find the entrance, after walking in through the same door as to the cinema. Take left and the elevator to fourth floor, where you find the reception! The room on sixth floor was small, but OK. The view outside was of a roof and the landscape far away. The spotlight was placed for reading in bed, instead of for reading at the table, which I prefer. The telephone was adjusted for disabled, with very large buttons. The sleeping quality was very good. It was a little tricky to find the breakfast, because of some building work that was going on. The breakfast was temporarily placed in a pub in the cellar. However, the staff in the reception was helpful to show right button to press in the elevator. The breakfast was OK. The movement of the breakfast may make in a little difficult to do a fair judgement of it. Checking in and out worked easily.…
There was nothing wrong with the hotel and the comfort of the room that a good clean wouldn't fix 😁. I ordered a double room was given a twin, the room had been cleaned but was showing signs of needing a deep clean. Wouldn't recommend...my coffee cup in the morning was filthy, but the food was fresh. Ok but not outstanding
The hotel itself was somewhat confusing, as it shared entrance with a cinema. Reception was on the 4th floor, so you had to take the elevator before finding it. The breakfast room is in the basement, in something that looked like a bar. I, my husband and daughter stayed at this hotel on a familyroom. The room was large and clean. Standard was not the best, but quite ok. The beds were comfortable. Large bathroom. Breakfast was good, good selection. There are no parking at the hotel, you park in the street.
The hotel is centraly located, but is difficult to localize, as to enter the hotel you have to go through a cinema-entry, and it lies on the 4th floor in the building. The hotel standards are as expected. The single room, including breakfast, was spacious enough, clean and had a comfortable bed. The corridors on the other hand were narrow. I have no complaint on the breakfast-buffé, except that this is a business hotel, where I expected that the buffé would open at 6.00 AM, not at 7.00 AM. I might have paid 100 NOK less the I did, but I am pleased with the commondation as I only spent one night in the city Trondheim.
Reasonably priced hotel, and you get what you pay for. Small rooms, but clean and contains the essentials that you need. Staff are friendly. If you arrive late (which I did), the reception ia closed and a security guard is on call, which means you might have to wait a few minutes to be served.
We eventually found the reception on the third floor after wandering around the cinema foyer. The reception is on the third floor shared with the breakfast room and some of the cinema screens. we then went up to the 6th floor for our room as the rooms were on the 5th & sixth floors, Floors 1-4 were shared with offices and cinema. Normally 'Best Western' is a high bench mark but the room were tired looking and the corridor of painted brick. I was concerned with the security as anyone can enter the building through the cinema entrance and access the lift to the bedrooms. we were told the doors would be locked when we returned but if we had problems with the security lock then the guard would let us in. After a good night s sleep we had an uninspiring breakfast of chopped fruit left to dry out, a small selection of meats and cheeses plus a large selection of vegetables. Thankfully we did not stay in the hotel long as we enjoyed the night life and during the day we visited the sites and rode on the Trondheim tramway into the hills. It was disappointing for a Best Western but adequate for our need and price range.…
