Stayed here for one night as a couple. Common areas are of a good quality. We stayed in a "moderate" double room, that was more like a single room with a double bed squeezed in. Could only get in from one side and little room around it. On a minor note, the carpet in the public areas is hard to focus on. The breakfast was good if the furniture was laid out a bit like a school canteen. Parking is only available in public car parks, which are expensive.
After my first visit it vas some noises all night (dog at another rom). The hotel gave me a refund night 👍🏻 Now I’m collecting this night and all is super. Some old bathroom but I know they upgrading some rooms now so I’m excited. Good service 🤗
I have stayed at several hotels in downtown Trondheim. This is one of the better hotels. The rooms with the single beds are small, but the rooms with the double beds are of good size. Location is absolutely excellent, as are the staff. Breakfast is very good, but you will get tired of the lack of variety by the end of a long stay. I will absolutely stay here when traveling to Trondheim.
Quality Augustin is located a few meters from the market square and several bars and restaurants. We arrived Trondheim with Hurtigruten early in the morning and was very lucky to get a room from the very friendly receptionist when we arrived at the hotel long before noon. Room was great, beds maybe a little bit narrow. Great selection for breakfast, the Covid-19 situation considered.
Stayed one night for free as being member of the Choice Hotels frequent guest program. I then don’t expect a suite, but a normal quite room. We were given a room just opposite a bus station in a very noisy road. Hardly any sleep, with an old bathroom with water hardly leaving the sink, and irritating missing hooks etc - this is not the way to treat your most loyal customers.
This hotel gets full points for location. It is in the center of the city and is a short walk from everything, including Trondheim Spektrum. Apart from the location, there are not many other positives. The breakfast is average, the rooms are modern yet very small and the foyer and service were average. The negatives include a dirty and old bathroom with shower doors and seals that are broken, lots of noise in the room from the lift going up and down all night, the hardest and scratchiest bath towels that I have ever used in my whole life. At least I got a good exfoliation. I don´t think I would stay here again.
Superb simple hotel with spacious rooms in the middle of town, one stone's throw from the square. Very good service and good breakfast. Close to everything called shopping and nightlife + serveralities :) Good restaurants in a short distance from the hotel.
Extremly nice compared to the price. Breakfast was better than superb Location is more or less dead centre of town The room was a bit small though... Well suited for those passing quickly by Trondheim... 😁
We paid $320 aus a night and I have stayed in better hostels for $50 a night. Foyer is inviting and staff friendly but the rooms were not worth the money. Extremely small, stuffy, old and mattress is an inch thick. Can’t open windows properly and no air con which was not good being here in summer. I would say only 2 star and wouldn’t recommend when there are hotels around much better for same price. I know Norway can be expensive but they have a cheek to charge these prices. It was central to everything though.
This Hotel is in a great location slap bang in the CBD next to a major esplanade with heaps of eateries, supermarkets, McDonalds, Burger King etc + a large shopping mall close by. Don't miss the Cafe Dublin Pub restaurant and in particular the lamb shank on mashed potato - it's to die for ! The downside is parking : parked a few blocks away and had to feed the meter every 3 hours ! There are other parking options even further away.
